When Chen Zhao returned home, Fali was still awake.
She immediately went to prepare dinner for him.
“Fali, wait, I have something to show you.”
“What?”
“To be accurate, it’s not a thing…” Chen Zhao said, smiling. “Let me go to the basement.”
Chen Zhao rushed downstairs. After a while, he brought ten underlings from the basement.
“What are these?” Fali was not scared of the ten strange little things beside Chen Zhao. After all, she had seen things that were much more terrifying.
The ten underlings did not look very frightening. Of course, they were not cute either.
“They’re called underlings. Starting today, they’ll be our servants,” Chen Zhao said.
“Do they have names?”
“Nope.”
“Then can I give them names?”
“Of course, but don’t pick anything complicated. I don’t think they can remember those.”
“Are they very dumb?”
“Actually, they’re smarter than Princess, but they generally do not have names. They live in groups and have a very weak concept of individuality. It’s like a nest of ants. Will you name every ant?”
“But I just want to name them.”
“No problem,” Chen Zhao said with bitter laughter. It was one of the few times when Fali was playful.
Chen Zhao waved his arm and the ten underlings stood before them in a row.
“Master, Madam.”
“They sound weird.”
“They can’t speak any human language. To be fair, they spent quite a long time just to learn those two words.”
“Then how should I ask them to do stuff for me?”
“That will be easy. They’re very talented in this area.”
To be blunt, underlings were professional servants in Hell. They could complete any manual work to an outstanding extent.
If an underling lost its job, it would lose its significance.
They would even give up and feed themselves to wyverns. Perhaps that would be their last contribution in life.
Although they could not speak any human language, they were not stupid.
If required by their job, they would very quickly adapt to any new environment and language.
“From today, you’ll be the slave owner madam.”
“No, that’s sounds so ugly.”
Then, Chen Zhao and Fali brought the ten underlings around the house, teaching them some general knowledge in the meantime.
Of course, Chen Zhao and Blackie had already taught them most things in the crevice.
All they lacked now was practice. For example, if there was a visitor, they had to hide and make sure that they would not be discovered.
In addition, when Chen Zhao and Fali were not at home, they had to take care of the pets.
They learned this really quickly. After all, most of them had the experience of raising wyverns.
With the underlings to look after the pets, Chen Zhao no longer needed to bring them whatever he went.
In the past, Chen Zhao was worried that his pets would not take care of themselves or would destroy the house if left alone.
Take Black-Ma and White-Ma for example. Although they seemed lively, they were still somewhat sensitive.
For example, they would feel sad if they saw Princess being praised.
Chen Zhao and Fali liked to lean against Princess. Knowing this, the Silly Twins would mimic Princess’s posture every day and lie before Chen Zhao and Fali, hoping that they would lean against them instead.
To be honest, while they were huge, they were much less comfortable to lean on.
Half of Princess’s body was fat, which made her really soft.
In addition, the Silly Twins could not maintain any posture for more than five minutes before they had to move.
On the other hand, Princess would not sit if she could lie down, would not stand if she could sit, and would not move if she could stay still. She was literally the land version of Amon.
Lastly, because the house was so large, most areas required regular cleaning. With underling helpers, this would become much easier.
The next day, once Fali and Chen Zhao got out of bed, a few underlings immediately came in to tidy their bed and wash their pajamas.
Then, they prepared breakfast for the pets and readied toiletries for the two.
They finished everything without any reminder.
To underlings, these were basic work.
They could understand them without any commands.
Fali finally experienced what it was like to be a master.
The underlings really knew how to take care of people. They would not even stop for a second.
“A, B, C, D, E, go and fertilize the plants around. Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, go and clean the entire house. Also, change and wash the quilts.”
Upon receiving Chen Zhao’s order, the ten underlings began working at once.
“Chen, are you going out today?”
“Yes,” Chen Zhao nodded, “but not so early.”
“Alright. I’m going to work now.”
“See you.” Chen Zhao kissed Fali and watched as she left in her car.
Shortly after Fali left, a truck came.
Gaia alighted from the truck. “Chen, I’ve brought you your special fitness equipment according to your request.”
A few workers walked up and asked, “Sir, where should we place the equipment?”
“Just carry them down and place them on the ground,” Chen Zhao said.
“Sir, the equipment is very heavy. We need machines for loading and unloading. Are you sure you don’t need us to deliver them into your house?”
“Just listen to him and place them on the ground.”
“Alright.”
The workers placed the fitness equipment before the villa. After receiving a tip from Chen Zhao, they left.
“How much does all this cost?”
“Twenty thousand.”
“I don’t have that much cash. I’ll transfer you later.”
“You sure you can use these?” Gaia stared at Chen Zhao. The smallest piece of equipment was a three hundred kilogram dumbbell.
As for the barbell, the bar alone was three meters long and ten centimeters in diameter. It was difficult to even hold it with one hand.
The bar itself weighed fifty kilograms. The smallest weight was a hundred kilograms heavy, while the biggest was five hundred kilograms, and there were twenty pieces of them.
Chen Zhao grabbed the bar and started to add the heaviest weights.
One, two, three… Chen Zhao placed four pieces on each side. With the weight of the bar, the barbell now weighed over four thousand kilograms.
Gaia stared at Chen Zhao. Can he really lift such a heavy object?
No way… No human can lift this.
