As the Saint Elect Tournament came to an end, no one had expected Ye Mo, the dark horse, to be the one named a Saint.
The Asura Dao Palace was in an uproar. The nine people inside the palace congratulated Ye Mo loudly and repeatedly.
It had been years since a Saint came from the Asura Dao Palace. In normal cases, failure in the Saint Elect Tournament more often than not meant death. It was the cruelty of the competition.
“Junior Ye Mo, now that you’ve become a Saint, you’ll be able to attend the promotion ceremony in three days,” Mao Mao said. “This is a proud moment even for us seniors.”
“Senior Mao Mao, let’s see who’ll still dare to challenge the Asura Dao Palace,” Ye Mo said with an extremely arrogant tone.
Ye Mo becoming a Saint shook all Six Dao Palaces. All of the disciples were beyond shock. A disciple who had yet to be in the Door of Desolation for a full year had become a Saint. This level of talent was unheard of.
Three days went by, and Ye Mo headed to the Desolation Palace in the Desolate Mountain early in the morning. He was set to be announced as a new Saint with all the other Saints there to witness the ceremony.
There were only a hundred Saints in the whole of the Desolate Mountain – they were extremely rare, and all of them were top talents.
Today was the promotion ceremony for the newly inducted Saint, so all the Saints in the mountain had shown up.
Even some of the elders made the effort to appear.
While the status of the elders was higher than that of the Saints, with regards to strength, they weren’t necessarily stronger than all of the Saints.
This was the most crowded that the Desolation Palace had been for the past three years.
Ye Mo’s display of his talent for seals during the competition had shocked all of the Saints. Even some of the elders had decided to establish good ties with Ye Mo.
Ye Mo had stunned everyone. He was set to be a distinguished figure in the future of the Zone of Desolation.
More importantly, Ye Mo was also Saint Ancestor Bloodsaber’s disciple.
Even Ye Mo’s sworn enemy, the First Heaven Society, could do little about him – after all, it wasn’t just Ye Mo who was against the First Heaven Society.
Plenty of people in the Desolate Mountain were unhappy with the First Heaven Society.
But, as Ye Mo entered the Desolation Palace, he saw another man coming towards him – it was none other than Chu Tian, who had a group of disciples behind him all carrying Saint Tokens around their waists. They were all in the Ninth Tier of the Transcendence Realm.
“Why is Chu Tian here?” Ye Mo was somewhat curious. Today’s ceremony was to promote him to the status of a Saint in the Desolation Palace – why was Chu Tian here? Furthermore, he had a group of Saints behind him.
But Ye Mo didn’t pay much attention to him. Advancing to the role of a Saint was the most important thing. Once Ye Mo became a Saint, not just his identity, but whichever kingdom he was situated in would be protected. This meant that the status of the Tianwu Kingdom would be far above that of normal high-tier kingdoms from now on.
The news of the Tianwu Kingdom producing a Saint would be passed onto all the other kingdoms – no country or power would dare to offend the Tianwu Kingdom.
At this moment, the Desolation Palace was almost filled with people. As they saw Ye Mo coming in, they all automatically opened a path for him – he was the guest of honor today.
As he walked into the huge palace, he saw a gigantic picture of an elder in the center of the Desolation Palace. He carried a staff in his hand, and a black long sword in the other, and had a marking between his brows.
“Isn’t this the elder who I saw when I discovered the Will of the Six Dao Cycle?” Ye Mo’s heart was slightly shaken. He stared at the picture.
“Ye Mo, you’re pretty early!” a familiar voice said from behind him.
“Chu Tian, why are you here?” Ye Mo asked. “As I understand it, only Saints are allowed to enter here place.”
“There are two ways to become a Saint,” Chu Tian said. “One is through the Saint Elect Tournament, and the other is by advancing to the Half Profound Realm or the Profound World Realm. As for myself, I’ve just advanced to the Half Profound Realm, and was naturally promoted to a Saint.”
“What? You’ve advanced to the Half Profound Realm?” Ye Mo said, shocked.
“I’ve gotta thank you. Had I not been hit with those four seals, I wouldn’t have been able to discover my own Profound Markings so quickly.” Chu Tian smiled lightly – it was indeed thanks to Ye Mo that he was able to discover his Profound Markings so quickly. Furthermore, while he had failed his mission, managing to advance to the Half Profound Realm was beyond anyone’s expectation. Entering the Desolate Mountain straightaway could redeem him in the eyes of the First Heaven Society. The Young Master wouldn’t even blame him by the time he came out of secluded cultivation.
“Haha, I managed to become a Saint thanks to direct promotion, while you’re a Saint who just used seals to bring you to where you are.” Chu Tian smiled slightly. “Doesn’t that make my status a step above yours?”
While they were both Saints, Ye Mo’s strength was barely in the Ninth Tier of the Transcendence Realm, but Chu Tian was in the Half Profound Realm. Chu Tian’s status was indeed a tier higher than Ye Mo.
“Ye Mo, now that I’ve become a Saint as well, you’re going to have a tough time in the Desolate Mountain,” Chu Tian said as he walked around Ye Mo.
“Haha, let’s see about that,” Ye Mo said. “I still have the upgraded versions of those four seals – I’ll show you in the future.”
Chu Tian grit his teeth.
The two of them waited for the ceremony in silence. Elder Tao Tie slowly appeared within the palace and handed out tokens to Ye Mo and Chu Tian. Even their attire was swapped for Saint-exclusive ones – they were elite people now.
“Ye Mo, Chu Tian, two people both advancing to become Saints at once is a first,” Elder Tao Tie said. “Now that both of you have become Saints, this news will be spread to the kingdoms that you two are from. Those kingdoms will be under the protection of the Door of Desolation. Any force that thinks of attacking your kingdoms will face the wrath of the Door of Desolation. Furthermore, you two will be allowed to train in the Desolate Mountain in the future. The Inner Peak’s Mixed Energy World is open to you both. Do your best to train hard.”
“Many thanks, Elder Tao Tie,” The two of them held their hands together and replied respectfully.
As Chu Tian lowered his head, he told Ye Mo under his breath, “Ye Mo, don’t think you can rest easy just because you’ve become a Saint. You’d better keep an eye on your Mountain and River Diagram and your Sky Blood Spear.”
Ye Mo couldn’t help but frown. Evidently, his opponents weren’t going to let him off just because of his new status as a Saint – those two treasures were enough to drive people insane.
Furthermore, the Young Master was after the Seven Ancient Main Murderous Weapons
“Haha, I’ll be waiting.”
The two of them exchanged a few words quietly as the promotion ceremony came to an end. Saints came forward to convey their congratulations.
“Ye Mo, my name is Qiao Yifan, I’m a former disciple of the Asura Dao Palace,” a Saint in the Half Profound Realm walked over and greeted Ye Mo.
“Oh, a senior!”
Ye Mo held his hands together and smiled. Entering the Desolate Mountain, he didn’t know the rules. However, while he didn’t feel strongly toward Qiao Yifan, it was best to find some partners in the Desolate Mountain and establish a firm standing.
