Chapter 669: Returning Home

Black Fog Sea.
Many long narrow tables seemed to be placed without order all along the garden, yet they actually followed the profound mysteries of the laws, albeit just vaguely. Xue Ying, Jing Qiu, Qing Yao, Mo Yang Yu and Dong Bo Lie, Uncle Zong as well as Chi Qiu Bai and his wife, Dong Bo Yu, and his wife, Qing Yao… and some of the most outstanding descendants from the Dong Bo Clan, as well as old friends from the Xia Clan like Chao Qing, Mountain Lord He, Si Kong Yang and the rest—everyone could be found here.
“Father,” Qing Yao greeted. “Even though I saw you around in the Crimson Rock Mountain World, it’s been eight million years since I last met you here, in the Black Fog Sea. Father, how can you bear it?”
Xue Ying let out a laugh full of joy. “We met quite often in the Crimson Rock Mountain World, so why talk about me like this?”
“Xue Ying, you’ve indeed disappeared for too long this time around.” Chi Qiu Bai laughed as well. He was a stage three World Deity as of present. With the exception of Xue Ying and Jing Qiu, he was the strongest person to have originated from the Xia Clan world. Furthermore, Jing Qiu had actually reincarnated, so her length of cultivation truthfully far surpassed Chi Qiu Bai’s.
“This might be your Monarch Residence, but you’re never around,” even Mo Yang Yu, Xue Ying’s mother, chided him. “Your father and I have come to visit you at the Black Fog Sea so many times, but we never got to see you.”
“It’s my bad, my bad.” Xue Ying relented.
In front of his mother, he naturally would acknowledge his mistake.
To powerful existences and World Deities, eight million years seemed fleeting, but to this group of Xia clansmen, eight million years was indeed too long! As such, hearing that Xue Ying had returned, everyone came rushing over to meet him. Even the Dong Bo couple who had been roaming all around the world rushed back to meet their son. Xue Ying’s little brother, Qing Shi, also rushed over. It was, indeed, a rarely seen reunion of the clan.
The people were all here, chatting with one another.
Even though Xue Ying’s current status was high, the relationship between everyone here was anything but ordinary. He and Chao Qing, Mountain Lord He, and all of the others once had their fates entwined, and went through a life-or-death crisis together.
As such, this reunion greatly delighted Xue Ying.
After this brief gathering, the clansmen left to various places to rest, leaving behind some smaller groups of people who met among themselves.
Xue Ying and Jing Qiu were also strolling about their residence.
“Xue Ying, I thought you might not return until after the Myriad Flower Feast.” Jing Qiu giggled.
“The Myriad Flower Feast?” Xue Ying was momentarily startled.
“Have you forgotten? His Majesty, the Bloodshed God Emperor, organizes a Myriad Flower Feast once every ten million years,” Jing Qiu replied. “The next Myriad Flower Feast should be starting quite soon.”
Xue Ying nodded. A feeling of nostalgia overtook him as he reminisced of the time he participated in the Myriad Flower Feast after leaving the Xia Clan world. Back then, his Elder Brother White Sand protected him from the Venomous Ying World Deity, while he sought to make a name for himself, only to become a disciple under the Bloodshed God Emperor himself. At the time, he had grasped hold of a single grade one Deity Heart, the World Deity Heart, yet for the sake of preventing Forefather Black Devil from trying to off him, he did not dare reveal this secret.
And now, in what felt like the blink of an eye, he had already opened two Daos. He didn’t even have to care for most powerful existences, and even the Rulers, whom back then seemed so very high up, no longer felt untouchable. As long as he making progress along these two Daos, he might be able to achieve eternity in either of them and become a Ruler!
“The new Myriad Flower Feast…” Xue Ying muttered.
“I’ll have to participate in it. Of course, you, the disciple of Bloodshed God Emperor, have an even greater responsibility of participating,” Jing Qiu said. “Some of the descendants from our Dong Bo Clan have long since readied themselves, and will be staking it all during this Myriad Flower Feast.”
“Oh? Are there any outstanding brats who might be qualified to join the sect of a powerful existence?” Xue Ying laughed as he asked.
Jing Qiu shook her head. “Even though the Dong Bo Clan provided them with the chance to learn World Deity ranked secret techniques, as well as giving them proper guidance, there might at most be some who get through the Starfield Selections. As for ones whom you might consider outstanding? There just aren’t any…”
Xue Ying nodded. “The Myriad Flower Feast… Not too long ago I was the one to participate in the battles of the Myriad Flower Feast, yet now the roles are already reversed. This time, I’ll be the one watching those little descendants fight one another.”
…
After returning to the Black Fog Sea, Xue Ying used the Bloodshed Tavern’s ability, activating his network of friends to help him collect the required materials required for training in the initial scroll of the”Myriad Devil True Body”. He had killed two protectors from the Ancestor Mother Religion, which brought him vast riches, which meant he more than had the foundation necessary to dare collect these treasures. After all, he was bound to bring out treasures or items of equivalent value when making trades with powerful existences. He would ensure nobody suffered any losses if they brought out one of the materials he needed.
Many of the materials he could only obtain because of his reputation! Otherwise, regardless of price, the other parties might simply refuse to make the exchange!
During his time organizing people to trade for these materials, Xue Ying spent most of his time consolidating the Dao of Slaughter which he had just opened. All of his concentration was focused on this single point.
In the blink of an eye, another thirty thousand years passed.
The Bloodshed Tavern succeeded in collecting more than half of the more commonly seen materials he needed. He then depended on his many friends to finish collecting the rest before long.
There were even two apex Paragons who took the initiative to help him—Monarch Green and the Bitter Cultivator respectively.
“Monarch Dong Bo, judging from the materials you seek, it would appear that you’ve also obtained the initial scroll of the Myriad Devil True Body?” the Bitter Cultivator sent a message through karma from all the way in the Dark Abyss. This was the first time the two ever conversed, and Xue Ying understood that this person possessed great strength, seeing how he was ranked 15th on the Cosmos Deity-Demon List. He had also once passed the trials of the Three Devil Palaces.
“Disciple Brother Dong Bo, congratulations. Passing the trials of the Three Devil Palaces is no easy task. I’ve suffered from some serious setbacks back when I attempted them,” Monarch Green messaged him too.
Xue Ying immediately understood that his Elder Disciple Brother Monarch Green had also once succeeded in these trails.
According to the words of the white-haired old man, there were indeed too few people in this cosmos epoch who passed the trials.
…
Within the Monarch Residence.
Inside the underground palace, Xue Ying dug out a pit for a special occasion and filled it with a pitch-black liquid. As he stood by the side, a jade bottle appeared in his hands. He poured its contents directly into the liquid below, leaving large amounts of silvery dust to flow into the pool. As soon as it touched the surface of the liquid, it got completely dissolved in it. After the time it took to brew a cup of tea, the silvery grit was finally all poured into the pool.
Xue Ying then followed up with a gourd of a black, bloody liquid, then with golden, glowing leaves. There were also a few other ingredients already ground into a powder.
All sorts of different precious materials were thrown into the pool. It took an entire half-hour just to finish mixing everything together—he did not afford to mess up the procedure. During this process, the deep pool of liquid began changing in color.
‘Almost there.’ Xue Ying looked towards the pool and watched as the liquid within turned crimson. It was now also continuously swishing about and emitting a blazing aura. ‘These materials add up to the value of an ordinary True God weapon. I was fortunate to have earned so much off of killing those two protectors from the Ancestor Mother Religion, or I might have been forced to think until my head hurts of a way to obtain everything off of others.’
There was no way he could ask for materials while empty-handed.
‘The initial scroll of the Myriad Devil True Body… I wonder how much my body will evolve once I’m done cultivating it.’ Xue Ying already began looking forward to it. He took a step forward, entering the pool of crimson liquid, and as he did so, the liquid swamped all the way up to his chest. The very next moment, all his clothing disappeared.
Xue Ying enlarged his body, allowing him to sit cross-legged in the pit. At this point, he finally started cultivating the initial scroll of the”Myriad Devil True Body”. Only with the aid of these materials could he hope to ‘move a thousand miles in but a day’.
