Chapter 403: Understood?

“The Beast Clan and our Xia Clan have been fighting ever since our world came into being,” Jing Qiu said. “They’ve always been at a disadvantage, yet they could still endure up until now. Now that you’ve become Realm Lord, the curtain is about to fall on this war between our two great clans.”
“As it should; it’s about time to enter a new era.” Xue Ying smiled. With a thought from his part, his consciousness entered the Oceanic Forest World.
As a Realm Lord, his consciousness could envelop every last corner of the entire mortal world. Of course, as an Eden Treasure, Crimson Rock Mountain would normally be isolated from that examination; with Xue Ying now also having refined it, all within the Xia Clan world truly lay under his control.
For the sake of concealing my grade one True Meaning, I’ve let you live until now. Xue Ying’s consciousness now covered the fort.
All of the Beast Clan Transcendents had gathered inside one of the semicircle-shaped fort’s palace halls. Among them, Elder Ao Lan stood there face to face with the palace wall, softly stroking a huge beast-head engraving on it. There were traces of tears in his eyes.
“Great Elder, this fort no longer has control over the Oceanic Forest World,” reported a short and fat elder. “Xue Ying has already wrested control away from us.”
“He is now a Realm Lord. Of course he’d be able to control everything,” said a tall but thin man in a cold and detached manner. He was wearing cyan-colored leather armor.
“How could he be this fast…”
“Wasn’t refining the Realm Heart supposed to be very difficult? It’s only been six hundred years since the war, yet he’s already refined it?”
“It’s over. It’s all over.”
A large portion of the Beast Clan Transcendents already gave up on all hope. They might have been at a loss before, but they could still hold on to a glimmer of hope… After all, the Sorcerer God was quite sure that Xue Ying would refine the Realm Heart, but maybe, just maybe, ten thousand years would pass, and Xue Ying would fail to refine the Realm Hart. If that were to happen, Xue Ying would then be expelled from the Xia Clan World, and their Beast Clan could still rise back up.
Therefore over those past years, that faint glimmer of hope left them all waiting expectantly.
Even then, the day had finally arrived for real! Xue Ying had refined the Realm Heart—such news had already spread everywhere!
Hong~ Suddenly, the entire palace hall began to tremble.”
“What is it? This… what is going on?”
All of the Transcendents entered a state of alarm.
Through the palace door leading outside, one could see that a huge hole had appeared in the fort, while the rest of it immediately began shattering. Looking further through that hole, one could see a huge face having appeared in the sky outside—it was Xue Ying’s face. His visage looked downward from that vantage point and stared straight into the palace hall through the hole.
Kakaka. Before the realm energy, the sturdy fort seemed feeble and was easily torn to pieces. Even this had only happened because Xue Ying thought he could leave it for the Xia Clan to study; otherwise, he could have easily crushed it like rotten wood.
Very soon, it was torn apart in its entirety.
“Let’s go outside.” The previously silent Elder Ao Lan pointed outside with his white bone scepter and then turned around to leave the hall. The others followed behind him, one after another.
Once outside, they all looked up toward the gigantic face in mid-air that was able to engulf the earth and sky.
That familiar face belonged to the largest calamity the Beast Clan would ever face—Dong Bo Xue Ying! He had already reached a stage high enough to leave the Beast Clan trembling from a single look upon him. Not even the Sorcerer God or Great Demonic God had any way to deal with him. Perhaps only those lofty powerful existences from the Deity world would be able to wrest control of a mortal world away from a Realm Lord.
“Dong Bo Xue Ying.” Elder Ao Lan spoke first.
“Ao Lan.” Xue Ying’s huge face towering above also opened its mouth to speak.
“Have you come to kill us?” Elder Ao Lan asked.
“Elder Ao Lan, a while ago, you’ve taken away my deity warrior, the gold man. I could never forget that,” Xue Ying replied. “I’m afraid it’s time for your Beast Clan to repay that debt.”
“Indeed, it’s time to settle it.” Elder Ao Lan nodded. He knew that Xue Ying had come to demand repayment, but it was not merely for the gold man or that assassination attempt from back then. He was referring to the blood debt created through countless years of conflict between the Beast Clan and the Xia Clan!
“The people of your Xia Clan that my Beast Clan has killed are truly beyond countability, but likely just as many members of my Beast Clan have been similarly slaughtered by you guys.” Elder Ao Lan raised his head to stare straight at Xue Ying’s visage. “The only pity I have is that our Beast Clan was not the one to give birth to a peerless talent like you. That is why we lost, and we can only say that your Xia Clan’s luck was better.”
“That is false.” Xue Ying looked down from above. “This could only happen with the help of countless generations of Xia Clan Transcendents struggling to improve, because of the aid provided by our Ancestral Deities over the years. They could bring the Xia Clan to a higher and higher level of prosperity, so that they could occupy the overwhelming majority of the Xia Clan world. Our Xia Clan has more members; we have more Transcendents and more Deities. It was only natural that once a peerless Transcendent was born, he or she would be part of my Xia Clan!”
Ao Lan froze but then softly nodded in response. “Indeed, the majority of our Beast Clan’s ancestors were too selfish. It’s not unjust that we would lose, not unjust.”
“Honorable Dong Bo! Honorable emperor!” a purple-haired woman stepped in. “Our Beast Clan has lost, and we will never again be a menace to your Xia Clan. What happened in the past could be considered a conflict between our clans, but now that we’ve lost, we’re willing to submit. Please spare us! We are willing serve the Xia Clan from the cradle to the grave, and we will fight for you wherever you send us.”
“Emperor Dong Bo”
“Emperor, spare us.”
Unexpectedly, the number of Beast Clan people who begged for forgiveness was about half the clan.
Xue Ying sent a frigid glance downward. Amidst those who begged forgiveness was the spider empress who had also taken part in that previous assassination attempt.
“How is it that you plan on handling our Beast Clan?” Elder Ao Lan gripped his white bone scepter tightly. “I’m very old, not too far from the limit of my lifespan, and I have no qualms about dying. I merely hope that you will show some mercy…”
“All of the Transcendents of the Beast Clan must die!” Xue Ying’s huge face responded resolutely. “I can pardon only ordinary beasts.”
“No…”
“No, Emperor Dong Bo, we are willing to aid the Xia Clan.”
A large portion of the Beast Clan Transcendents were alarmed and frightened.
Yet Elder Ao Lan only nodded softly. “Thank you! I trust that in a few thousand years, the future beasts will forever serve humanity by becoming your mounts or your subordinates. My only hope is that they will never again have thoughts of rebelling.”
“This would be a good fate for them,” the huge visage of Xue Ying’s face replied. “Alright, from this point on, all grudges between my Xia Clan and your Beast Clan are finished.
His voice had just reached their ears.
Hu.
Every last one of the Beast Clan Transcendents saw their body begin to soundlessly break down. A portion of them displayed various emotions—be it pleading, anger, or fear—but their bodies would break down and completely dissipate just the same.
Looking down at all of this occurring, Xue Ying sighed softly. He couldn’t hate Elder Ao Lan, since this was just how war between two clans went. Elder Ao Lan was actually one of those rare few throughout the history of the Beast Clan that put in all of his heart and soul for the sake of his clan. He had comprehended the True Meaning of Life and raised it to the stage three realm; he had then carefully and meticulously studied the body’s composition so as to let each and every beast take on the body of a human and allow them to hide within the human world.
“Throughout history, beasts and humans have fought many times, and the beasts have eventually even mixed into the human race. The Beast Clan has fought hard, but today they have completely lost.” Xue Ying got the vague feeling that he was witnessing history. In fact, he even even felt somewhat disappointed and frustrated. They had thankfully triumphed, but should the war have been lost, humanity would have faced annihilation instead, even if a few might have temporarily remained alive. Perhaps they would even be enslaved by the Beast Clan, which would have been nothing short of a nightmare.
Hu. Xue Ying’s thoughts shifted when he saw a figure fly over. It was the gold man who had been just freed from his restrictions.
The gold man looked at the huge face in midair. Faced with its incorporeal pressure, he at once respectfully greeted, “I pay my respects to master.”
“Let’s go, Gold Devil.” Xue Ying’s huge face revealed a slight smile as the gold man was transported back to Snowrock Castle, where he met with his good friends Saint Child, Delicate Beauty, Battle General, and Blade Assassin. Thus, these five figures came together once again.
Once Xue Ying became a Realm Lord and resolved the menace of the Beast Clan, the Xia Clan world stabilized even further. The many Evil Gods and Demonic Gods also gave up completely on spreading their faith in this world. After all, none of them had the ability to secretly pass on their faith under the surveillance of a Realm Lord.
Time passed, during which Xue Ying single-minded cultivated in preparation of the future Myriad Flower Feast arranged by the Bloodshed God Palace.
Yet a mere year and a half after disposing of the Beast Clan, Xue Ying received some news that sent him into an incomparably ecstatic mood.
Back at Snowrock Mountain on the martial practicing stage, Xue Ying was holding onto his Bloodthirsty Spear as he stared blankly at Jing Qiu before him.
“What did you say?” Xue Ying asked.
Jing Qiu’s face was red. “I’ve already told you once; why are you asking again…”
“I couldn’t hear it clearly. Please say it again,” Xue Ying eagerly pressured.
“Alright, alright.” Jing Qiu looked at Xue Ying and then softly continued, “It’s likely two of them.”
