Jiang Qiling and the twins were alerted as well. They were curious to find out. Lu Li waved that young lady away, “You can go now.”
Lu Li didn’t say he would go or otherwise. After that young lady left, he asked, “Qiling, do you want to stay here or go into the Wicked Bead? I want to meet this person.”
Jiang Qiling and Bai Qiuxue looked at each other, smiling. The former said, “Darling, go. It’s only three hundred miles away. You don’t have to worry about our safety. I am a Semi-God Realm warrior after all.”
“Okay!”
Lu Li flew away. Bai Xiashuang had something she wanted to say but was stopped by Bai Qiuxue. After Lu Li left, Bai Xiashuang pouted and said, “Sister, why are you trying to stop me? I want to go as well.”
“Ha, ha!”
Bai Qiuxue smiled. “He is going to meet with a woman. He didn’t say he wants us there so we must know better.”
“A woman?”
Bai Xiashuang was even more curious. Blinking, she asked, “Isn’t our husband against having concubines? Is he secretly keeping a mistress?”
“Ha, ha!”
Jiang Qiling laughed out loud but didn’t say much. She trusted Lu Li. If he agreed previously, he would have many concubines. Nobody could stop him if he wanted. He wouldn’t run off to meet with a secret mistress.
Jiang Qiling and Bai Qiuxue could tell that this was a woman but did not know who. Which man could make Lu Li go through such trouble?
“Whoosh~”
Lu Li flew in the sky. He knew this must be a woman as well. But he didn’t know who, either. Since it was not far away, he wouldn’t mind going.
Soon the Mountain of Chilliness emerged on the horizon. It was a rather peculiar mountain. No matter how scorching hot the sun was, it would be cool in the mountains where trees flourished and purple flowers were found everywhere. It was quite a famous scenic spot nearby.
Usually, there would be tourists here. But it was quiet today. Someone must have cleared the site. Lu Li found some guards around the Mountain of Chilliness.
He ignored the guards who evidently knew who he was and didn’t stop him.
Lu Li flew to the peak of the mountain where an old temple was at. But it was deserted. Later, a small family restored the temple. Though there weren’t any monks here, the temple did add an aging touch to the place.
Lu Li stood on the peak and walked toward the temple. He didn’t use psychic power to check. From the distance, he had detected a faint scent. He knew someone was in the temple and he had an idea of who it was.
Inside the yard, looking at the mottled temple wall and slates, Lu Li felt a sense of loss. For a second, he didn’t want to go on.
On second thought, he stepped in. There was a wooden door. Lu Li pushed it open. He saw, from the back, a beautiful girl was kneeling on a cushion, worshiping Buddha.
The Buddha statue was old. Paint was peeling off in many places. It was a statue of Bodhisattva. Lu Li could still faintly see the kindness as well as the majesty on the Bodhisattva’s face. The young lady wore a cyan frock with her hair on her back. Her waist was slim. Since she was on her knees. Her graceful back was quite beautiful.
Lu Li could tell this was a stunning beauty just by looking at her back. There was a sense of Zen around her, which gave her an unworldly feel. Some young masters filled with desire would be interested to see such a lady.
Lu Li was surprised, though. He thought he was going to meet Prajna and Ye Xiaoxi. But this was someone he was unfamiliar with. Though this lady had on a flock, she had hair. Prajna was bald.
Out of respect, Lu Li did not use psychic power. He stood there, quietly, as the young lady worshiped Bodhisattva.
After nine bows, the young lady stood up slowly. She bowed again to the Bodhisattva, turned around and looked into Lu Li’s eyes.
Lu Li’s eyes lit up at this moment. He was taken aback—he saw a breathtakingly pretty girl who was about 18 years old, in early puberty. She was full of youthful vigor.
Though it was a frock she was wearing, it fit her well, highlighting the beauty of her body. She was only 18 but she was already fully developed. Her breasts and bottom were prominent. Her delicate face was as if it was carved out of jade, quite elegant.
There was more to her. It was her temperament. Maybe, it was because she worshiped Buddha all year long, there was no worldly sense around her. She was like a white lotus, pure and remote from the secular life.
She looked at Lu Li with her dark eyes, lost. It was as if her eyes could speak words and contain thousands of emotions. Many people said that women’s eyes could talk and could charm people. For this young lady, her eyes could make people sink in, deep.
Lu Li did know this young lady. It was Prajna as he had thought. But as he remembered, Prajna was a nun, a girl. Now, Prajna grew her hair out and she had grown. No wonder he didn’t recognize her from the back.
It had been a few years since he last saw Prajna. She was about 18 as he remembered. Those past few years were the period of time when young ladies developed fast. A girl changes eighteen times before reaching womanhood. That was true.
For a moment, gazing into Prajna’s talking eyes, Lu Li was lost for words. He stood there, stunned. He remembered the first time he saw Prajna. It was on the Mountain of Buddha and she was a child of seven or eight years old. She snuck into his private room and spoke to him in a sweet tone…
“Brother Lu!”
Finally, Prajna said. She was not filled with sorrow or resentment, but softness and compassion. She paused for a moment before she continued, gazing at Lu Li with affection, “Do you still accept me as your sister?”
“Yes, I do!”
Lu Li felt the tender part of his heart was touched. He answered with determination, “Prajna, you will always be my little sister. I will never say otherwise.”
Prajna smiled a sweet smile. But tears ran down her cheeks silently. Lu Li was touched again. He could hardly stand when a girl shed tears.
He forced himself to turn around, afraid that he might do something that would hurt Prajna out of a soft heart. He made up his mind that he could not be soft-hearted, or he would bring harm to Prajna for the rest of her life.
Seeing Lu Li turning around, Prajna appeared to be saddened. She took out her handkerchief and wiped away her tears. Forcing a smile, she said, “Brother Lu, I have worked up the courage to meet you but not to pester you. I know you have major things to do. I will not be your burden. I am only asking for one thing.”
Lu Li frowned. He nodded without hesitation and said, “Name it. I will not reject as long as I can do it.”
“I see!”
Prajna lowered her head and thought for a while. When she looked up again, she was resolute. She said, biting her teeth, “I know you will ascend to the Divinity soon. I will cultivate hard and strive to ascend to the Divinity myself. What I am asking is that—can you give me a chance if I can ascend to the Divinity and find you?”
