Lu Ling snorted, which upset Yan Zhen. He had been living for hundreds of years whereas Lu Ling was only in her twenties. How could she say something like this to him? Yet, as her slave, he couldn’t express any unpleasant feelings.
Lu Ling’s ring glowed as she took out an ancient book. Pointing at it, she said, “More than one million years ago, there once was powerful warriors from other universes coming to ours. Back then, Emperor of Heaven Reverse wasn’t even born. It was a time when the 10,000 races were at the prime of their time. When three powerful warriors came from another universe, they wiped out three races. Later on, the three powerful warriors disappeared mysteriously without staying at the Heaven Reverse Universe for long. I came to this ancient book by chance and there is a detailed record of it. It was noted down by an ancient race that had been in existence for two million years.”
“What?”
Yan Zhen was shocked. He looked at the ancient book. Unfortunately, he didn’t understand it because he knew not of the ancient language. That being said, he believed Lu Ling would not lie to him. When the Clouds Plains was unified and after they conquered the Serenity Plains, Lu Ling would always ask others to collect scrolls or secret booklets. Yan Zhen didn’t know that there were such ancient historic records.
“There are other universes above ours?” Yan Zhen was in disbelief and murmured, “Is that Young Lady Leng from another universe?”
“It is too early to say!”
Lu Ling waved her hand and said, “Wait for Hu Lang to come. After they arrive, you will split into three teams and you will search the Inferno from top to bottom. We might fail to find Lu Li but at least we must know where he has gone!”
“Yes!”
Shocked as he was, Yan Zhen couldn’t say otherwise now that Lu Ling had given her order. He just prayed not to run into any powerful local residents or their own lives could be at stake.

In merely four days, Hu Lang and the other Human Sovereign Realm warriors had arrived at the Shadowland City. God of Meng and Ye Cha were still away. Without waiting for them further, Lu Ling sent all Human Sovereign Realm warriors into Inferno.
Lu Ling had many Human Sovereign Realm warriors currently at her employ. There were six of the Clouds Plains and then later, another warrior reached the realm through cultivation. Nine more surrendered to her at the Serenity Plains, which brought the total number of Human Sovereign Realm warriors to 12.
Lu Ling split the 12 Human Sovereign Realm warriors into three teams of four to search the entire Inferno.
There were many flocks of monsters in the Inferno, many of which were cruel. Beast Kings were in existence as well. However, with four Human Sovereign Realm warriors in one team, they could break out from siege easily. Not even two or three Beast Kings would be able to destroy the team.
Lu Ling warned the 12 Human Sovereign Realm warriors that if they ran into Ye Cha and God of Meng, they should tell the two to join in their teams and that nobody was allowed to go solo.
Lu Ling gave them some jade talismans and discussed code words. Different jade talismans had different uses depending on the situation. In case they found things spinning out of control, they were required to come back at once to report.
Ke Lv activated the Inhibition Formation and let in the 12 Human Sovereign Realm warriors. Cyan Phoenix Race patriarchs joined in the effort as well. Each team had a Cyan Phoenix Race patriarch, which would make the mission easier.
After all was done, the passageway was sealed off again. Lu Ling couldn’t do anything now before the arrival of information.
She began to remotely control the Serenity Plains and the Clouds Plains. With all the Humans Sovereign Realm warriors leaving those areas, situations went chaotic at once. They became lands beset by war. It was said that forces from the Frost Plains eyed the Serenity Plains and the Clouds Plains with hostility. Lu Ling must figure out a way to take control or the previous efforts would all be flushed down the drain…
Lu Ling was handling the military and government affairs nonstop without any sleep. She didn’t show any emotions in front of others. She was so strong that it hurt Lu Feixue and Ming Yu…
Little White was still out there to be found and Bai Qiuxue hadn’t woken up yet. The only thing delightful was that the Central Plains was peaceful. No force from the Central Plains dared to cause trouble after Lu Li shocked and awed all the others by killing Recluse Solar Dragon in public at the Xi Long City.
Time moved on day by day. It was becoming all the more depressing in the Shadowland City. Many felt suffocated in the city as if a storm was coming.

Ye Cha dropped to his knees as soon as he came in and said in a choking voice, “Young Lady Ling, we are sorry. Saint Lord…is probably taken to another universe by that wicked girl!”

The pile of letters fell from her hands onto the ground. She closed her eyes in exhaustion. She felt so weak all over her body that she couldn’t keep her eyes open.
