3156 Feng Wu Fell
Just then, they heard a strange noise.
Elder Gu frowned, and got an ominous feeling.
The people of the Military Academy involuntarily paused and looked at one another. Something felt off.
Dongfang Ziyun turned around and saw Feng Wu sitting alone in the essence crystal mine.
Her hands were folded together, and she looked as ethereal as a fairy.
Rumble…
A glow enveloped Feng Wu.
It then turned into a beam of light which burst out of her body.
“She’s made a breakthrough!” Dongfang Ziyun stared at Feng Wu in disbelief.
“She was a Level 2 Spiritual King before.” Dongfang Ziyun ground her teeth. “Is she a Level 3 one now?”
“Who told you she was a Level 2 Spiritual King?”
Elder Gu looked at Dongfang Ziyun in bewilderment.
With the concealing jade, usually, no one could tell Feng Wu’s actual level.
However, she was in the middle of a breakthrough, and capable cultivators could sense the change in her spiritual essence.
“What level is she?” Dongfang Ziyun’s stomach lurched.
She knew Feng Wu was more capable than that.
Earlier in the prison, Feng Wu had almost killed her with that soft-bladed sword. Dongfang Ziyun knew then that she stood no chance against Feng Wu.
Elder Gu sighed. “She’s a Level 6 Spiritual King now.”
That meant Feng Wu had been a Level 5 Spiritual King before.
“How’s that possible? She was only a Level 2 Spiritual King in the junior arena. I’m sure of it!” Dongfang Ziyun looked like she was about to cry. “She was only a Level 2 Spiritual King!”
She was so insistent because she wanted to prove that Feng Wu wasn’t a Level 6 Spiritual King now.
Elder Gu shook his head. “I don’t know what level she was back then, but she is absolutely a Level 6 Spiritual King now. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Elder Dongfang.”
Dongfang Ziyun looked at her aunt, who nodded grimly.
Elder Dongfang didn’t feel any less frustrated. She was overwhelmed by a sense of crisis.
She tried to convince herself that compared with herself, a peak Spiritual Overlord, a Spiritual King still had a long way to go.
Moreover, Imperial College would have paid a high price if this breakthrough had cost them all the spiritual essence in this mine.
Elder Dongfang was filled with jealousy, and so were the other elders of the Military Academy.
Elder Gu even sneered at the people of Imperial College. “Doting on Feng Wu is the worst mistake you’ve ever made. You’ll regret…”
He was cut off by a sudden turn of events.
Whoosh!
There was a loud crack, and they saw the ground open up at an even faster rate.
The ground only looked like a spiderweb before, but some of the cracks were wider than a palm.
Feng Wu was still sitting in the center of the mine.
Crack…
Right at that moment…
Thump!
It sounded like something had fallen into a pond.
Everybody realized Feng Wu was gone.
“Where’s Feng Wu? Where is she?”
“She fell into that hole in the ground! I saw it!”
