On board the plane.
The plane was about to depart.
First-class cabins are spacious, and Dong Xuebing was sitting beside Xie Huilan. Xie Hao and Xie Ran sat behind them, and Xie Jing and Sun Kai sat in the third row.
Xie Huilan asked. “Where should we go for our first stop?”
Dong Xuebing thought for a while. “Let’s go shopping in Taipei and enjoy their street foods.”
“The hotel rooms are booked, but it will be troublesome without a car. We did not join any tour groups.”
“We can rent a six- or seven-seater car. It can fit all of us.”
“Ok. You can make the arrangements when we reach there. I can borrow a car from my friend if you cannot rent one. One of my former classmates is doing business in Taiwan.” Xie Huilan replied.
“Ok. Let’s ask around when we reach there.”
Dong Xuebing and Xie Huilan discussed what they would do in Taiwan.
Dong Xuebing noticed the plane had not reached the runway, and it should take another twenty minutes before takeoff. He waved a stewardess over and asked for a cocktail. He drank it slowly and read the news on his phone. He could still use his phone before the plane took off. Suddenly his face changed, and he frowned.
“What’s wrong?” Xie Huilan asked.
Dong Xuebing replied. “The Japanese had landed on Diaoyu Dao.”
Dong Xuebing was loud, and the rest heard him.
“When was it?” Xie Ran frowned.
“This morning.” Dong Xuebing said while reading the news. “They went there without approval. Those right-wingers had promised they would not land on the islands and broke their promises. More than one hundred people, including their senators, landed there.” He lifted his phone to show the rest. “They even planted their flag as if it was their islands. “Their Coast Guards said they would not allow anyone to land on the islands, but they failed to stop them. It was as if they had purposely allowed them to go up the island and did not say they would arrest anyone. According to their law, landing in Diaoyu Dao is not against the law. However, they would arrest any Chinese who landed there. Hmph! They are ridiculous. How can they arrest our citizens in our territory?!”
Xie Jing asked. “Have they landed?”
“See for yourselves. This is the third time they boarded Diaoyu Dao in two years.”
Everyone checked their phones, and the news reported it.
Sun Kai was the first to get mad. “What are these Japanese up to?! This is our territory. How can they land on our islands again and again?!”
Xie Jing added. “This is not as simple as landing on Diaoyu Dao. They had built a lighthouse and chased away our ships there. I remember a fishing boat captain was arrested by Japan for fishing near that area a few years ago. He was locked up for over ten days. A few activists went there recently to proclaim it was our territory, and the Japanese Coast Guards crashed into their ship. They were arrested and brought back to Japan. During their arrest, the Coast Guards tortured them and refused to give them water or let them use the toilet. It had happened several times.”
Sun Kai hit the armrest. “They are too much!”
Xie Huilan narrowed her eyes. “Japan is too much this year. China, Korea, and Japan had claimed these islands to divert the attention away from their domestic issues. This is too much.”
Xie Ran analyzed. “Japan did not do this to other countries except for China. They are taking advantage of our friendly foreign policies and stepping all over us. They did not do the same at the disputed Liancourt Rocks with Korea. The Koreans had planted their troops there, and the Japanese Coast Guards didn’t even dare to patrol in that area. The Japanese are obviously targeting us and think of us as pushovers.”
“Look.”
“What?”
“The news reported that Taiwanese activists will board Diaoyu Dao in retaliation. They are preparing to plant their flag there too.”
“When are they going?”
“They are preparing and should be setting sail tonight.”
Xie Hao slapped his leg. “Great! Sis, let’s go too.”
Xie Huilan looked at Xie Hao. “Go where?”
“Diaoyu Dao.” Xie Hao replied. “Let’s go there and teach those Japanese a lesson! Did they think we don’t know how to plant our country’s flag?! F**k them!”
Xie Huilan ignored Xie Hao. “We are here for a holiday and not to create trouble. You are not allowed to go anywhere.”
Xie Hao argued. “Sis, you are not patriotic.”
Xie Huilan continued to sip on her fruit juice and ignored him.
Although Dong Xuebing was angry, bringing everyone to Diaoyu Dao was unrealistic. He turned to Xie Hao. “Alright. Xiao Hao, this is more complicated than you think. Just listen to your Sis. We are here for a vacation and not to create trouble.”
Xie Hao grumbled. “I know… I know…. I am the only stupid one!”
Dong Xuebing laughed. “Look at you. Are you getting mad? The plane has not departed, and you are not listening to your Sis and me. Do you still want to go to Taiwan?”
Xie Hao replied helplessly. “Of course, I want to go.”
Dong Xuebing reminded Xie Hao. “Then you must listen to your Sis and I. Don’t create trouble from now onwards.”
“I know… I know….” Xie Hao replied.
Everyone continued to talk about Diaoyu Dao.
Xie Hao is an ‘angry youth’ who cannot accept such incidents. Sun Kai also seemed to be an ‘angry youth’ too. However, Dong Xuebing was the ‘Super angry youth’ among them. He asked Xie Hao not to create trouble, but he had gotten into all sorts of troubles overseas. He had previously stolen the National Treasures from Japan and clashed with the Japanese Coast Guards during the air crash. Not to mention his trip to Seoul. He just could not stop.
The other Chinese passengers in the first-class cabin were also talking about this incident.
“These Japanese are creating trouble!”
“That’s right. We should teach them a lesson!”
The Chinese passengers read the news and started scolding the Japanese.
Suddenly, a young man interrupted them. “The plane is going to depart. Keep quiet.”
Xie Hao shouted. “Who do you think you are? Did we disturb you?”
A businessman sitting at the back added. “You sure talk big. Who are you to ask us to keep quiet? Do you own this plane?”
The young man ignored them and said something to a middle-aged man beside him. “#@@%@” They were talking in Japanese, and that young man was a translator.
The middle-aged man was Japanese and smiling as he spoke to the translator.
That translator nodded in agreement and smiled.
Everyone did not know what they were talking about except for Sun Kai.
Sun Kai heard their conversation and stood up. He shouted at them. “What are you all saying?! Your territory?!”
Dong Xuebing was surprised and looked at Xie Jie. “Does your boyfriend understand Japanese?”
Xie Jing nodded. “He can speak three foreign languages and is good with English and Japanese.”
Xie Ran asked. “Xiao Sun, what did he say?”
Sun Kai explained. “He says Diaoyu Dao is Japan’s territory from historical records. It is legal for Japanese to get on those islands. This is not the only time they will land on Diaoyu Dao. They are planning to land again a few days later. He claimed that the Japanese Coast Guards will arrest any Chinese activists if they dare to go to their Diaoyu Dao tonight.”
Xie Hao was furious and pointed at that Japanese man. “I dare you to repeat it!”
The translator translated to that Japanese man, and he sneered. He said something in Japanese.
Sun Kai immediately translated for Dong Xuebing. “He said no matter what we say, Diaoyu Dao belongs to Japan. He also says he is a territorial association’s Vice President.”
Territorial association?!
A non-government organization?!
How dare he come to our country and spread nonsense?!
Xie Hao, Sun Kai, and other passengers in the first-class cabin started arguing with that Japanese man and his translator.
Xie Jing and Xie Ran did not say anything because of their identity as Government staff, but they looked furious.
That Japanese man continued smiling and ignored the other passengers. He crossed his legs and started reading his papers.
“F**k!” Xie Hao was about to start scolding vulgarities when he was stopped.
Dong Xuebing stopped him. “Xie Hao! Come back!”
“Brother-in-law!” Xie Hao protested. “They are stepping all over us now! Why are you stopping me?!”
Dong Xuebing looked at Xie Hao. “Get back to your seat. You are a kid. How can you scold vulgarities?!”
Xie Hao was furious, but he obeyed Dong Xuebing’s orders. He stormed back to his seat and sat down.
Xie Hao was fuming in his seat, and Xie Ran and Xie Jing were dumbfounded. They thought to themselves. “When did Dong Xuebing become so civilized?” Suddenly, Dong Xuebing walked over to the Japanese man and kicked his face.
“Arrghhh….”
That Japanese man had a shoeprint on his face as he screamed in pain, and blood gushed out from his nose.
The Japanese man pointed at Dong Xuebing and shouted. Before he could complete his sentence, Dong Xuebing slapped him.
“Slap!”
That man almost fainted from Dong Xuebing’s slap.
Everyone’s jaw dropped.
Xie Jing, Xie Ran, and the rest did not expect Dong Xuebing to raise his fists suddenly.
Oh, you stopped Xiao Hao from scolding others because you were going to beat him up.
Sun Kai was stunned. Xiao Jing’s Brother-in-law is a Commission for Discipline Inspection staff?! What sort of Discipline Inspection Staff is this?!
