The guns stopped firing.
Silence and the wind stopped.
The pirate captain looked at the knife in his chest, and he was losing his strength. His eyes became dilated. All he wanted was to get the ransom and blackmail the Chinese government. Where did this crazy guy come from? Bullets could not hit him, he has superb marksmanship, and no one can match him in close combat. He wiped out the pirate group singlehandedly, without a single scratch on him. The captain clenched his teeth. How can someone be so good at combat?
Dong Xuebing looked at the captain and did not pull the knife out. He pulled the two paper napkin balls from his daughter’s ears and said to him. “You had abducted my daughter and refused to release the hostages after getting the ransom. You still want ten times more?! You all had thought too highly of yourselves. Try hijacking and abducting our Chinese ships again! I dare you!”
The captain stared at Dong Xuebing, and he could no longer speak.
Blood was gushing out from the captain’s wound, and he died slowly.
Dong Xuebing stood up with his daughter and looked at the bodies around him. He felt better and stroked his daughter’s face. “Let’s go home. Your Mum, godmother, and grandmothers are waiting for you. They will scold me if I don’t bring you home. Haha…. You did not see how they treated me. You must speak for me when we get back.”
Little Qianqian reached out to grab Dong Xuebing’s face. “Ooh… Ohh….”
Dong Xuebing moved his face closer. “Go ahead and grab me.”
Little Qianqian giggled as she grabbed Dong Xuebing’s ears.
Dong Xuebing laughed and walked to the rails. He looked down and jumped off the boat, landing on a speedboat. He kicked the pirate’s body aside and steered towards the Navy vessel. He did not care about the three hostages on the main pirate boat as they were smugglers. If they were not Chinese nationals, he would not even rescue them.
Ten minutes later.
The Navy vessel sailed up to the cargo ship and rescued the hostages.
Dong Xuebing was the last batch to board the Navy vessel, and the unpredictable Qianqian started crying again. Maybe she was afraid of strangers, and he carried her away from other people. “Don’t cry… don’t cry….”
All the soldiers and hostages looked at Dong Xuebing.
The first batch of hostages seemed to be afraid of Dong Xuebing.
Dong Xuebing had boarded the main pirate boat alone and killed twenty-one pirates. Who would expect him to have such combat skills? He could still play with the baby when bullets were flying around him. He is a monster, and no one knows where he is from.
“My baby…. Don’t cry…. Are you hungry?”
“Wa… wa… wa….”
“Not hungry? Did you wet yourself?”
“Ooh… ooh… ahh….”
Dong Xuebing did not know what Qianqian wanted and tried to coax her clumsily.
The monster had turned into a loving father.
Niu Dazhao walked over to Dong Xuebing. “Xiao Dong.”
Dong Xuebing turned and smiled. “Captain Niu.”
Niu Dazhao grabbed Dong Xuebing’s hand. “Thank you! My crew and I are grateful to you for saving our lives.”
“Don’t say that.” Dong Xuebing waved his hand. “I am sorry for not telling the truth. Actually, I went out to sea on your ship to look for my baby.”
Niu Dazhao replied. “Without you, we would be abducted by the pirates, and we might be killed. You saved all of us.”
“Thank you.”
“Thank you, Brother Dong.”
The crew members thanked Dong Xuebing.
The Colonel and a few officers walked over with a few soldiers.
The Colonel looked at Dong Xuebing. “Hi. I am this ship’s Commander.”
The rest of the soldiers were observing Dong Xuebing. They did not find anything special in his appearance. He had average looks and a skinny frame.
Dong Xuebing nodded. “Nice to meet you, Commander. Thank you for providing the fire support earlier.”
The Colonel replied. “We should be the ones thanking you. The hostages would not be rescued without you.”
Both men shook hands.
Qianqian was still crying, and Dong Xuebing asked. “Commander, do you all have milk powder? My daughter seems to be hungry.”
“Sure.” The Colonel laughed. “We knew a baby was among the hostages and prepared milk powder and diapers.”
“Oh, thank you.” Dong Xuebing kissed Qianqian on her forehead. “Stop crying…. I will prepare milk for you. Haha….”
The Colonel asked the question that was bothering him. “How do I address you?”
Dong Xuebing thought for a while and did not want to reveal his name. What happened today cannot be spread, and it would affect his career. “Just call me Xiao Dong.”
The Colonel looked at Dong Xuebing. “Are you from the military?”
Dong Xuebing smiled and shook his head.
“State Security?” The Colonel asked again.
Dong Xuebing shook his head and replied. “No.”
The Colonel was still looking at him. “Then why are you….”
This question was critical. Dong Xuebing had out-of-this-world combat skills, and they still didn’t know who he was.
Dong Xuebing hesitated for a few seconds and said. “I am currently working in the Commission for Discipline Inspection. My goddaughter was kidnapped, and I went to sea to look for her.” He was telling the truth and knew the military would check his background after what happened.
Everyone almost fainted when they heard Dong Xuebing’s reply.
A Commission for Discipline Inspection’s staff?!
The Colonel and Officers were speechless. Shouldn’t a Commission for Discipline Inspection staff investigate others for corruption and bribery? How come they are practicing combat skills?!
Were there changes to the Commission for Discipline Inspection’s training?! How come I have not heard about it?!
How can a Commission for Discipline Inspection staff have such combat skills?
