“If we were to add another surgery, then how long will it take for her to recover?”
He fell silent.
There was a moment’s pause when he replied, “If you really want your daughter to go through another surgery, then we have to wait for at least a month to observe her.”
“That way, we’ll be able to see the effects of the surgery,” he continued. “If your daughter recovers normally, then we can go through with it. However, I have to make it clear—once the anesthetic wears off, she’ll be in a lot of pain.”
The pain would only be worse after each surgery.
