Yao Tang looked at the two of them, and she could tell that the atmosphere was tense. Had she said something wrong? But what?

Yao Tang sheepishly nodded and was about to head downstairs when Yao Yan stopped her. “I’ll go get it. Why don’t you rest in your room for a while?”
“I can do it. Besides, you have other things to get to, right?”
“Please, it’s just a piece of cake.” He ruffled her hair. “It wouldn’t take too much time.”
While Yao Tang didn’t react, Nie Yuncouldn’t help but gaze at his boss in disbelief. His usually calm face was filled with surprise.
Ever since he had worked for him, he never saw Yao Yan with such a good temper. In fact, he had never really seen him so concerned and patient with someone as he was with the Young Miss.

When she reached the doors of the operating room, Qin Jing was held back. Her hands were shaking as she watched masked doctors going in and out.
What was going on? Wasn’t she just attending the banquet?

He didn’t even come to the hospital! Instead, he had the Yang Family send a car over. What was this?
This made Qin Man even more furious. Did they look down on the Yao Familyto act like that? Did he not respect Ranran? What was wrong with them?
Initially, she had assumed that their relationship had improved over the short period of time, that he may even have feelings for her.
But it seemed that they were merely just acquaintances.

“Then where is your Young Master?” She arched up an eyebrow. “Would he not be coming along?”
“Young Master is currently busy, so he wouldn’t be able to come along.”
