The Chaos was vast. There wasn’t any cardinal direction, nor was there a sense of bearing. It wasn’t even always possible to feel the flow of time there. Luckily, there were references to refer to.
Otherwise, one would have to just barge confusedly in the Chaos. The result would either be falling into the terrifying calamity of Chaos or wander in despair for eternity.
‘Alas the Chaos. Is it really true that it’s the root of origin of all things?’ Jiang Ming pondered while he continued moving forward.
This question was destined to be unsolvable. However, he saw the mystery of the Chaos. This was the first time he had ever been in the Chaos to say the least.
The endless gray aura flowed slowly along. Even as a breeze, the aura of Chaos could even pierce and tear through a Golden Immortal Dao Vessel.
There were occasional encounters with storms of Chaos that a Great Overarching Golden Immortal would find difficult to survive for even a short time. Even Quasi-Sage Experts had to be on their toes here.
Boom…
A torrent suddenly exploded in front of him. A ball of flame could be seen appearing in the middle of the raging chaotic vortex. It started off being very tiny before swelling the very next moment, turning into a sea of flame. The flame was then drowned by the chaotic Qi, crushed before disappearing into nothingness.
As he continued walking forth, he saw two groups of chaotic Qi colliding with each other. It was unknown to him what the changes were, but it formed a chilling ball of cold ice. Even his Saint Soul felt the chills from the ice cold aura.
Jiang Ming continued to move forward. The Zhentian Tower appeared above his head and showered with rays of luminance to protect him inside and shield him from any accidents.
He also began to go through the addition in his inventory.
Killing the six Saints, slaughtering Dao Patriarchand exterminating the Great Demon Hei Tian allowed him to know some hidden secrets at most, as well as giving him more insight on how terrifying the Lord God was.
However, the expenses weren’t small either. In order to deal with the Great Demon Hei Tian, he lost five Saint Weapons in total. But he gained a few as well.
The supreme treasures of the first three Saint Lords that he slain fell into his hands, namely: Twelve-Graded Green Lotus, Gobbling Gourd, Apocalypse Great Grinder and the Reincarnation Disc.
As for the latter three Saint Lords self-detonating, their innate supreme treasures were all damaged. Although he collected all of them, they were of no use to him. As such, he directly threw them to the Chaotic World Tree to be absorbed and become its sustenance.
Furthermore, there were also the three top-notch Saint Weapons namely, the Dragon-Headed Crutch, the Dao Enlightenment Futon and the Violet Luminance Treasured Record.
All in all, it was a profit for him.
With a thought, Jiang Ming released the World Tree.
Rumble…
The moment it appeared, the World Tree directly emptied the endless Chaotic Qi outwards, forming a mountainous and tsunami-like storm of chaos that swept destructively in all directions.
“That’s not good!” Jiang Ming was greatly alarmed.
He forgot the fact that the Chaos World Tree was too tall and too violent. If it appeared out of thin air, it would naturally compress the chaos qi flow. How terrifying would the storm formed be?
This area was also relatively close to the Xuanhuang Great Chiliocosm, and the chaotic storm that surged towards it would probably be unstoppable.
Right the very next moment, the World Tree became excited as it started to greedily devour everything.
The leaves that looked like rivers of stars trembled slightly. It was as if they had turned into black holes as they began to plunder the chaotic qi that was flowing around.
There were also the roots that extended wildly in all directions. The storm of chaos that rolled forth was surprisingly rolled back by the roots.
‘This…’ Jiang Ming’s eyes popped up as he couldn’t help that astonished look on his face.
He also had a sudden enlightenment in his heart. The Chaotic World Tree was considered his home!
The Chaos World Tree also began to swell.
As his Saint Soul merged into the tree, he started to comprehend the metamorphosis of the World Tree. His Saint Soul was also slowly empowered, transforming towards the level of King Saint Soul.
Jiang Ming had a feeling that a qualitative change in his Saint Soul was not far away. That was for sure.
After half a day’s work, seeing that the Chaotic World Tree’s rampant absorption had not yet ended, he returned to Chuyang Peak with a thought.
Nothing had changed on this side.
His avatar, located in the Galaxy, was still sailing through the universe with Luo Heng.
After making himself a meal, eating and drinking, he returned to Xuanhuang Great Chiliocosm once again and landed under the Chaotic World Tree.
It took another half a day for the Chaotic World Tree’s absorption to slow down significantly. In such a short time, the Chaos World Tree surprisingly surged by a tenth in size. It was simply incredible.
There were still terrifying amounts of power yet to precipitate inside of the tree itself.
Jiang Ming reached out and grabbed with his hand, the Chaotic World Tree actually shrank slowly and became a small sapling as it fell into his hand.
‘Interesting! Does this count as the world tree becoming a spirit?’ He couldn’t help the smile on his face.
Shaking his palm, the World Tree emitted a green luminance that spread in all directions, slowing down the violent chaotic air currents that swarmed over it because of its disappearance.
Upon seeing that there would no longer be a major impact to the surrounding, Jiang Ming kept the World Tree back in his inner world and continued to hit the road.
As he radiated his Saint Soul forward, sweeping across the infinite space of the Chaos, it didn’t take long for him to discover his destination.
What lay ahead of him was a whole parchment of green luminance, enveloping a fraction of Chao’s remnant.
No, this was actually a whole world already. It was extremely huge. The green luminance continued to flicker as it continuously repelled the chaotic air current.
“Even though the Great Demon Hei Tian had already escaped, the formation still continued operating. It seems that the owner of this sealing formation is completely dead already.” Jiang Ming sighed.
Although there weren’t detailed accounts of the evil committed by the Great Demon Hei Tian in his memory, he could simply guess them.
This great demon must have definitely done more than just killing people. To cause the people’s anger and even the heaven’s wrath, there was a high probability that he had committed various indignant means that even ghosts and gods could bear from despising. Otherwise, how else would a King Saint Expert recklessly perform such an act of hara-kiri, sacrificing himself for its means?
However, the past had become clouds of history. The tales were now buried in the history of time and space, turning into a grain of sand in the long river of fate.
As Jiang Ming focused his gaze, the power of his Saint Soul surged forth, trying to penetrate into the distance to investigate further but was blocked off by the green luminance.
The blocking power from the green luminance was not too strong. It definitely did not reach the power of the King Saint Realm. It was obvious that his power dwindled due to the dissipation by the endless time and space.
Jiang Ming nominated and merged his subconscious with the Chaotic World Tree. It caused his Saint Soul power to sky-rocket, jumping directly into another level. Its power was now comparable to that of a King Saint’s Soul. It had really reached such a level. There was no doubt about it.
As Jiang Ming Saint Soul permeated forth, it was slightly blocked off before it completely made its way past the green luminance.
Jiang Ming felt greater resistance as his Saint Soul went deeper and deeper. He even sensed a terrifying fluctuation of aura that was the same as the Heaven-Shattering Spear.
In the core of the green luminance, Jiang Ming discovered a single bead in its center. The green-colored pillar had a slightly dull and vague luminance. Its aura seemed to be fluctuating indefinitely when compared to that of the Heaven-Shattering Spear.
“A King Saint Weapon?” Jiang Ming was shocked at first, before coming overjoyed.
It was apparent that the power of this treasured bead was reduced quite a bit from tens of thousands of years of wear and tear. It was also the one that was supporting the operation of the whole great array formation.
Jiang Ming didn’t act rashly. As his Saint Consciousness continued to turn, it fell towards the land that was surrounded by the green luminance.
Although the place was incomparably vast, it was divided into many smaller spaces by the green luminance. Each of them were filled with endless destructive power that was able to wear down the intelligent life within.
There were a lot of damaged and broken weapons on the ground. There was no shortage of Saint Weapons, where most of them were already broken and some were even corroded.
It wasn’t unusual for Saint Weapons to break, but it was very rare to see one corroding. This was obviously due to the power of this great array formation.
There were also many exotic flowers and grass. Some were even beyond the category of the very best innate spiritual roots, but still didn’t give birth to its spiritual intelligence. Or rather, all of the spiritual grass in here had no spiritual intelligence born.
‘That is…’Jiang Ming’s Saint Consciousness discovered a broken golden pagoda, which surprisingly had the same aura as the Heaven-Shattering Spear.
“Could it be that it is also a King Saint Weapon?’
It was very possible. After all, the Great Demon Hei Tian was previously suppressed here. That person was an incomparably powerful existence among the King Saint Realm.
‘If this is really a King Saint Weapon, I’ll be making a fortune this time!’ Jiang Ming was extremely ecstatic.
Alas, a King Saint Weapon. It would be far comparable from the innate supreme treasures. An example would be the supreme power of the Heaven-Shattering Spear. To possess one would be a great hike in power already.
However, there were two pieces appearing right in front of his eyes.
‘I must obtain all of them!’ Jiang Ming began to ponder how to do so.
