“Stop!” A voice stopped the fighting.
“If you’re so desperate to fight, why don’t you go to Peace Grassland?!”
Elder Wu suddenly showed up and scolded Gongsun Mu and Chu Yun.
Gongsun Mu backed off silently.
Chu Yun wouldn’t have it.
“The students used to be so decent when I was here! They’re cheating now!”
Elder Wu was displeased. He didn’t like this woman, who had cheated on her husband before abandoning him.
He asked, “Who cheated? How did they do it? What makes you think they cheated?”
The three questions rendered Chu Yun speechless.
She was certain Feng Wu had cheated.
Otherwise, why would her students let her win?
But how had Feng Wu cheated?
She couldn’t tell Elder Wu that Feng Wu had cheated by using her pretty face.
That would sound ridiculous.
Seeing that Chu Yun couldn’t give an answer, Elder Wu frowned. “If you don’t have any evidence, you’re slandering other people. Chu Yun, you’re still the same after so many years!”
Chu Yun flinched a little.
She couldn’t help but feel intimidated by Elder Wu. Back when she taught in Imperial College, Elder Wu had been her direct superior.
Elder Wu turned to Gongsun Mu. “Is the competition over?”
“Yes.” Gongsun Mu woke up from his reverie.
He was still perplexed by the result.
“Why haven’t you made the announcement?” Elder Wu rolled his eyes at Gongsun Mu.
“Yes! Right!” Gongsun Mu was reminded of what he needed to do.
He cleared his throat and announced, “Imperial College has won the junior team competition!”
The audience was perplexed for a few moments before they realized what they had heard.
“We won!”
“I can’t believe it! We won!”
“I thought that one player was going to defeat all four of ours, but we won the competition!”
“OMG!”
…
After the initial astonishment, the audience applauded.
Only one-third of the seats were occupied, but the clapping was louder than a full house.
The students were flushed with excitement.
Someone stood at the back.
It was Qiu Zeyu.
He never left.
He headed for the exit after falling out with his team.
He thought Feng Wu would give in, but she didn’t.
He thought Chen Ziyun would ask him to return, but Chen Ziyun didn’t.
He then hoped the other team members would say something, but that never happened either.
Qiu Zeyu hadn’t wanted to leave like that.
He doubled back before he had even gone a few hundred meters.
He stood behind all the seats and wanted to watch his team lose.
He wanted to see everybody blame Feng Wu.
He wanted to see Chen Ziyun regret his decision.
He had imagined how Feng Wu would beg him to come back, but reality slapped him in the face.
Weren’t all the students from the Military Academy supposed to be geniuses?
Why did this happen?
How could they be so weak?
How could they lose?
Qiu Zeyu was so angry he almost fainted.
