“You said your organization is big enough. Then you should be able to do it there too. You can take the credit for that.” Giyon said as she took a sip of her wine.
“Not really. The domes and energy beams, cost a lot of spiritual energy. The expense is so huge that it would be hard for any organization to bear it. But the location of your clan and the city helped you guys a lot.”
“Our location?”
“Yeah, you guys don’t know? When I was looking through the very old city blueprints, I found out something. The reason the founder of your clan established city here is because of the high availability of various elemental energies in this place.”
“Of course, we know that.”
“Do you know why the energies are higher in this place though? It is not just some normal environmental factor. It actually played a big role in your city’s defence.
Your city is located on a special spiritual vein anomaly. There are dozen spiritual veins intertwined with each other, completely unable to be separated.
They could have been twelve separate mines anywhere else. But here, they can only form one mine and even that cannot produce any spirit stones that are actually useful.
But the veins still emit various elemental energies, so this place is good for the early growth of children. He established the city and the clan here.
All I did in the past month is to build the domes that consist of hundreds of formations that could process the energy from within these veins.
Way too much of is it being wasted.”
“So, the processed energy is being stored in the domes?”
Grivon asked in surprise.
“Yes. Those domes can be good cultivation rooms for younger generations.”
“Then what about the puppets and spheres?”
“Oh, that is my credit completely. The puppets are designed by me and those bullets are inscribed with a tracking inscription. The domes target that inscription as long as they are within a certain range.
The idea to use trajectories as a way to deal with the targets is my idea.
The spheres on the other hand are literally the by-products of energy processing.
The mixture of so many elemental energies actually conflict with each other, so I need various mediums to extract the energy separately and we are using various metals that complement various elemental energies.
In the process, the metal residue is turned into these spheres. It is just a fusion of this big chunk of metal perfectly fused with energy. A bit of instability could cause it to explode and some inscriptions on top of it are good enough to create that mesh.
They are good aren’t they?”
“They indeed are. At least for us.”
They clinked their glasses and continued drinking.
“But I must say, the fight is a bit anti-climatic though.”
Grivon said from the side and they nodded.
“Yeah, apart from the initial crash, the rest of it happened very rapidly. Even after they entered the city, they couldn’t do much damage.
The energy beams shooting at them from within the city didn’t help them at all.
And Uncle and my mom came at the perfect time. It is almost like they are looking for them to come so that they can use that chance to escape.”
“Well, as your mom said, this whole partnership mostly lasted on the blackmails and coercions. It was not bound to last long from the beginning.”
“But still, we still got the leader of the Star eye sect and many of their top dogs. The sect is going to be finished. Even if we don’t do anything, the other organizations that participated today are going to rip the sect apart to not leave any traces whatsoever.”
“Another top organization, disappearing just like that. Maybe the new era those people talked about has already started. For centuries, attacks of this scale haven’t happened, but now they are coming one after another.”
“Well, at least your clan did one good thing regarding this. They let go of all of the businesses they don’t immediately need and kept all of their strength within your place.
If you had wanted to keep everything you had and even wanted to grab some of the others, you wouldn’t be able to do this.
Now, the other organizations, don’t have any other choice but to directly knock on your doors. In a way, you are controlling the location of the fight and it is impossible for you guys to not know when the battle occurs.
You will know it at least twenty minutes before.
Every minute counts.
And the presence of your parents doesn’t help other organizations.
Even I am a bit confused on why your parents are so overpowered compared to the rest of the organizations. You guys are not in the same league at all.” Sam said with a sigh.
“Everyone knows that the Gaja clan has three active members within the grey circle. But they don’t know how powerful they are. Every clan or organization does have a member or two in the grey circle, but most of them don’t return after seeing the much bigger world out there.
It is actually the same with our parents. When they are still starting out there, they are nowhere to be seen. They had some really hard times. But as they grew stronger and stronger, they came back more often.
Now they are the cream of the crop even at that stage, things are different. They come by more and more.”
“So, is there any other organization just like yours? With the same strength as your parents.”
“Of course, there are a few, but the one nearby and one that matters is only one. Mari clan.”
“So, your rivalry doesn’t stop anywhere, I guess.”
“It doesn’t.”
“I wonder where the other people are then. There is no response from them until now.”
“Well, you have seen Sin. He is a weird guy. He only fights with my father occasionally. As for the other two weirdos, nobody knows where they are. I wouldn’t be surprised if they hadn’t even heard a thing about what is going on here.”
“Worked out great for you guys.
Anyway, speaking of powerhouses. Your clan just got a new one and I have an appointment fixed with it. So, if you excuse me, I will be on my way there.”
Sam said as he finished his glass and walked away.
He arrived at the clan’s leader’s residence where all of the top dogs are currently meeting with a cat.
Gail is introducing the sonic cat to Clan’s leader, Gamin and Yuvana, Saran and other core elders.
The Sonic cat-sized them all up and looked at them with disregard. The only people it remotely showed any regard to are the Peak stage Astral Plane Consummate cultivators.
The rest are automatically ignored.
“It took a lot of effort on my part to convince him to come here. So, be careful when you deal with me. He will be roaming around in the clan freely and he wouldn’t be following any advice. If you have any problem with him, you guys come to me and say it.”
“What if you are not there? You are moving around a lot recently.”
Saran asked with some hesitation.
“Well…” Gail looked at the cat as if it could answer the question, but of course, it can’t.
“You can wait for me to come back. Don’t try to deal with him and don’t even try to order him around on your own.
I will be upfront with you guys. He kicked my ass over and over again. I highly doubt anyone of you wants to be in my position and I highly doubt that you would be able to endure the beating like I did.”
The cat appeared proud when Gail warned them about it. It suddenly felt a bit satisfying. After all, it felt like it deserved all the respect in the world after compromising for Gail.
After the introductions were done, Gail walked the cat out and Sam is waiting for them there.
“It seems like I am right on time.” He said as he walked towards them.
He looked at the snow-white cat and smiled.
“The sonic cat. In flesh. You really succeeded. Not bad.”
Sam said as he looked at the cat and smiled.
“It better be worth it. Who knew there would be an invasion when I am away.”
“It is not an invasion. They ran away in the middle. If it is an invasion that could be the worst invasion that I ever witnessed.”
Sam said as he turned around the Sonic cat.
“Your bloodline is quite pure. No wonder you are so active with the crystal symbiote.”
A frown appeared on the cat’s face and looked at Gail.
“He is the one that made your toys. The massagers, the incense machine. All of them are his creations. He knows quite a lot about you. I didn’t say much in general.”
The cat’s expression eased up a lot and looked at Sam much more normally.
“Okay, then let’s get you a real nice place to stay.”
Two men and one beast thus moved.
All in all, the aftereffects of the attack are very pleasant within the Gaja clan. But the same couldn’t be said for other organizations involved and particularly for one organization that created this.. The Divine league.
