Even her son seemed so docile. His feeding time was adjusted to a regular and reasonable schedule and, on top of that, he drank a good amount every time. That, too, allowed Gu Shishi to sleep nicely.
Her super handsome husband had been working out of the center to be with her and help out with diaper duties.
She didn’t need to worry about any everyday items at all.
“Let me show you. Old Mrs. Huo barely contacted me these last few years but had a 180-degree change recently and been hitting me up on WeChat every day. All she ever talks about is your son.”
Old Mrs. Chen accompanied Chen Kexin on her visit.
The old lady didn’t have a lot going on and, as much, had visited Gu Shishi often.

Old Mrs. Chen had always thought that the child was cute and was happy to chat with Old Mrs. Huo on these topics that bored the young.

This restaurant next door makes very good soup dumplings. I’ve stealthily had one or two in addition to my postnatal meal. It smelled so good that even my baby opened his eyes and cried.”
“Hahaha, what nonsense. It’s milk that he wanted.”
Old Mrs. Chen didn’t know what to make of Gu Shishi’s comment.
But, understanding that Gu Shishi didn’t want anything to do with the Huo family, she stopped talking about them.
She picked up a soup dumpling from her granddaughter and chewed it slowly.
“It is quite good.”
She smiled with her eyes narrowed.
“I am going plead a painting of soup dumpling from you later so I can hang it up in my living room.”
Chen Kexin interjected in a timely fashion, “My sister-in-law is pregnant too. They are referring to it as xiaolongbao (soup dumpling).”
Gu Shishi almost busted out laughing.
She turned and glanced over at Huo Sishen, who was sitting there straightly.
She had wanted a cute nickname for their child too, something along the line of xiaohuntun (wonton), xiaobaozi (bun), xiaotangyuan…… something cute like that.
But Huo Sishen objected to it adamantly. He liked A the most, the first letter in Greek and they had finally agreed on Aleph.
“It sounds good,” said Gu Shishi as she winked at Huo Sishen.
