“Once it’s dried. I will write some more words on the back of it.”
[Oh. You are going to write on the back as well? Sheesh, Channel Master is so professional.]
[Channel Master’s hand writing is so pretty too!]
“Okay. I am going to stop right here today. Thank you all for your support. I will see you next time!”
Gu Shishi took a look at the time. It had been almost an hour. She quickly thanked everyone for their donations and turned off the streaming.
It’d take a bit of time for the ink to dry. She couldn’t just sit there and wait.
She didn’t have other talents and couldn’t chat or sing like other pretty girls who streamed.
She couldn’t very well just sit there awkwardly the entire time.
[Oh, wait! Channel Master! Don’t go yet. You still haven’t told us if you are a Second Generation Rich!]
[Exactly! Chat with us!]
Everybody’s howling wasn’t able to keep her.
The screen went blank, and everybody left reluctantly.
Shortly after she had shut off her streaming, Gu Shishi received a few more private messages from King of the Hill, stating his intention of wanting to buy her paintings.
Gu Shishi read the texts and merely responded with “maybe next time” and provided him with her new Wechat account.
After all, he, too, was a potential customer.
Once she was done responding, she quickly tossed her cellphone down on the table.
She rubbed her now sore right hand while smiling bitterly.
She felt that she had been completely emptied out!
All she painted was a bamboo painting today. Any other time, that would have come easily. She could easily finish one in less than 20 minutes.
But today…
She looked on top of the table and her lips parted reflexively.
Superb!
It was a superb bamboo painting.
She had copy painted many well-known artists’ work in the past and had painted over a thousand of her own, but she had never been that happy with any of them, ever!
Every one of the bamboo plants, every leaf, every segment, even every veins on it radiated strength and the pride that would defy heaven and earth!
Before she had started, she was going to paint an orchid for the boss in the effort of quelling him some and to mellow out some.
She hadn’t expected that once she turned on her skill, this bamboo within the torrential wind and rain would pop into her mind!
Looking at the painting again, she felt that the straight-standing bamboos overlapped with the straight back of the boss.
No matter how endless the darkness was or how torrential the wind and rain…
One day, she’d be able to break through them and crush them all!
Gu Shishi had invested into 2.5 hours of “Living the Painting” before she learned that bamboo was the most fitting for the boss!
Which brought about this ad hoc fan mount.
She was very content with her own work~
Gu Shishi looked at the bamboo, the rocks, the mountain tops, and the man drinking and reciting poems in the painting. She was happy with every bit of it.
This was the epitome of her technique as well as the epitome of expressing her feelings.
“I wonder if ‘Living the Painting’ has been triggered.”
Looking at the painting this time, Gu Shishi didn’t have any particular sensation.
“Perhaps because I didn’t care for bamboo normally? That’s why I couldn’t feel anything?”
Gu Shishi frowned for a little bit but quickly disregarded it.
What was important was experiencing the skill, letting her find the true meaning of the painting, as well as improvement of the disposition and state of one’s mind.
The process was way more important than the outcome.
She knew this was as good as she could do.
Gu Shishi happily appreciated her Windy Bamboo again.
While waiting for it to dry, she spent another half an hour appreciating her flawless complexion and pretty smile in the mirror.
