Qiao Qing took the gown and headed to the room.
After she closed the door, Jun Yexuan took out a small and delicate velvet jewelry box.
The moment he opened it, the light reflected off his eyes. The shininess of it couldn’t be hidden.
He placed the box back into his pocket.
Then he raised his head and focused on the closed door. It was impossible to hide the anticipation in his eyes as he acted like a teenage boy.
After some time, the closed-door opened with a crack. Qiao Qing, with her long hair down to her waist and her hands lightly picking up the dress, walked out. She walked for a while and then placed down the dress.
The sight of Qiao Qing in a wedding dress made Jun Yexuan lose his breath. The flames in his eyes burned.
His gaze was almost too naked, and it made Qiao Qing uncomfortable. She avoided his gaze and murmured, “It fits. Does it look… look nice?”
Jun Yexuan didn’t speak and only walked toward her.
Sensing danger, Qiao Qing retreated subconsciously as he approached. “Don’t move.” He grabbed her waist and spoke in a hoarse voice.
Qiao Qing noticed his heavy breathing and her heartbeat once again went out of rhythm. Her eyes quivered, “Jun… Jun Yexuan.”
Jun Yexuan answered her. Then, he untucked the stroke of her hair that was stuck on the dress and pulled her in for an embrace.
“You’re so beautiful…” The lump in Jun Yexuan’s throat grew bigger as he answered her question, “You make me want to rip the dress apart.”
Qiao Qing froze. She understood the meaning behind those words. Her cooled-down face once again started to redden.
“Don’t joke around. The gown is beautiful and I don’t want you to damage it.”
She then gently pushed him away.
“I’ve tried it on now. It fits. I’m going to change out of it.”
Jun Yexuan didn’t let her go as she wanted, “Wait a second.” Qiao Qing, “What is it?” Jun Yexuan, “I have something else to give you.”
Qiao Qing was surprised, “There’s more?”
Jun Yexuan laughed, “What kind of proposal would it be if there’s no ring?”
He retreated and then knelt on the ground. On one knee, he opened the jewelry box, “Qingqing, marry me.”
Qiao Qing saw the design of the ring. Once again, it was stunning. Blankly, she muttered, “No way you also designed this?”
Traditional rings were simply different in size. The cut of the diamonds was limited and simple. The diamond in front of her, however, was giant but gracefulness was not lost. The cut of the rock was so well sculpted, that it was basically an art piece.
Even she, who didn’t know much about rings, was in awe.
Jun Yexuan smiled, “Qingqing, you’re so smart. This is the best quality diamond in the world. If cut wrong, there won’t be a second one. I do not trust any of those professionals so I made this myself. Like the wedding dress, I want you to have something that is completely unique.” Qiao Qing could not find the words to describe how she felt, “Just what don’t you know how to do?”
Jun Yexuan laughed, “This is nothing! I’m nothing compared to you. You have at least 18 skills that I do not know of. If I don’t improve myself, how can I possibly be good enough for you? Qingqing.”
He called out her name. His tone was so gentle it killed her softly…
