Huo Tingrui glared at Min Yu before looking at his little sister. He had a feeling that she was feeling upset about the hospital bill again, so he said, “But I still feel a little unwell.”
Huo Yao shook her leg gently and turned her head to look sideways at him. “Hmm? Unwell? What do you mean?”
“My chest, my head. I feel unwell everywhere!” Huo Tingrui adjusted his spectacles.
What he really meant was that the sight of Min Yu made him unwell. He recalled what a poser Min Yu was and felt that his little sister might pummel him the moment he mentioned this.
“Fine.” Huo Yao smiled ambiguously and retrieved a long silver needle from nowhere. “Shall I perform some acupuncture on you?”
Sometimes, people kept trying to test her patience.
Huo Tingrui looked appalled the moment he saw the long slender silver needle. Sure enough, his sister was heartless.
Min Yu cleared his throat.
Huo Tingrui felt even more annoyed when he was reminded of Min Yu’s presence.
Before long, the doctor in charge of Huo Tingrui came over to the hospital ward.
He had taken Huo Tingrui’s blood to re-test it. The test results showed that there were changes in some trace elements in his system, so he called Huo Yao out before stepping out himself.
Huo Yao glanced at Min Yu and quickly left with the doctor.
In an instant, only Huo Tingrui and Min Yu were in the room.
The instant the door closed, Huo Tingrui stopped trying to smile. He looked at Min Yu expressionlessly. “Stay away from my little sister.”
He did not like this man. Min Yu had a lot of tricks up his sleeve and he had fallen for them several times as it was.
Although his little sister was equally cunning, she probably could not outsmart the man.
Min Yu sat upright as he looked at Huo Tingrui and said mildly, “That is going to be hard. In fact, it is impossible.”
Huo Tingrui was dumbstruck.
Huo Tingrui inhaled deeply. He decided to change tactics. “I have to say you are not suitable for each other.”
“In what way?” Min Yu raised his brow lazily.
“You are too old. My little sister doesn’t like old guys,” sneered Huo Tingrui with a look of disdain.
‘There was a five year age difference between them, but even a two year difference was considered to be huge!
Min Yu’s cool face froze for a moment.
Huo Tingrui smiled and said, “Moreover, I am the nicest one among all her brothers.”
If even the nicest one was against them dating, what would the others think?
Min Yu instantly caught his drift and went quiet.
The room instantly fell into silence.
The doctor handed Huo Yao the blood test report outside the room. “The trace elements appearing in Mr. Huo’s system seem a little strange. I suggest getting further testing done at First People’s Hospital.”
Huo Yao took the report from him. She glanced at it briefly before she nodded and said, “Thanks.”
The doctor was just trying to show responsibility towards his patients. “You are welcome. I am just suggesting this to be safe. First People’s Hospital has a new kind of apparatus, so it is better at testing unusual trace elements.”
“Got it.” Huo Yao thanked the doctor again.
The doctor smiled before he left.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes. She casually rolled the report into a ball of paper and placed it into her pocket before going back to the hospital ward.
‘When she got into the room, she could sense something different about the atmosphere inside. Her stupid second older brother was holding his chin up high while Min Yu looked completely the same.
Huo Yao kept looking at them as she pondered over it..
