It was weird for the three reporters to sit there and watch the interview they recorded with the Fu and the Huang family members.
Watching the facial expressions change from each member of these two families, made the reporters wonder what had given them the guts to interview Mu Keer.
While watching the interview being played on the television, Jia Li was in tears. She and thr rest were shocked by Mu Keers' utterance and revelation.
The Huangs' were pained about Huang Li being interpreted in that light by Mu Keer, and Jia Li was shocked because her Aunt had called her a bastard, and had revealed that she wasn't her father's biological daughter.
It was true that Mu Keer would say anything just to ruin her image, but while watching the video, Jia Li could feel that her Aunty was not just speaking to ruin her image, but was revealing the ugly truth of her birth at the same time.
Jia Li and Fu Hua were as shocked as the others, but for a different reason. They had heard Mu Keer saying that Jia Li was not her brother's child. She has said that right to their faces before, and now that she was saying it again with more confidence, the matter was very important to look into.
"What gave this woman the courage to say such things about Jia Li and our families?!." Fu ChuHua asked.
"We will have to find out for ourselves." Grandfather Fu said.
After watching the clip, no one was in a good mood anymore. They felt like slapping Mu Keer a few times on her cheeks and then dragging her body through the mud before locking her up somewhere not conducive for a living human being to stay.
Because the reporters were still there, both families were trying to comport themselves. They couldn't swear or use any threatening words.
This was not the time for them to care about their image still, there has to be a difference between those who were cultured, and those who were not.
In this situation, it was really hard to still remember your manners after watching that kind of interview, but the Fu family members and the Huang family members managed to pull it off, with their patience, hanging a thin thread.
This was a clip that if it mistakenly got out, they would have trouble explaining and dealing with it.
After watching that video, there were matters to talk about, but first of all, they have to release the reporters first.
But before that, some important things had to be done.
"Are you sure none of you have shared this video with anyone?" Fu Lei asked as he stared hard at the three of them in particular.
The three reporters hurriedly acknowledged his question and replied…
"We only edited the video to add more lighting to it, and we were yet to upload it when we changed our mind." One of the male reporters said.
"None of us has acknowledged Qin Mu Keer, so how did you find out about her existence?" Fu Geming asked as everyone fixed their gazes on them, apart from Jia Li who was crying with her face hidden in Fu Hua's chest.
The three reporters exchanged glances. They were struggling to tell the truth now because they didn't know much about the person (Carlos) that had tipped them off.
But meeting Old Mr. Huang's fierce gaze, they were forced to respond.
"Someone tipped us off." The female reporter revealed.
"And who was that?." The second daughter of the Huang family asked immediately.
Without wasting time, The second male reporter answered, "We don't know who he is as we have never met him before that day, but from his accent, he is not Chinese."
"Where did you three meet him?" Fu Ling asked.
The reporters answered all the questions that were thrown at them, to the best of their knowledge. They were reporters who interrogated others, but today was the first for them to be interrogated by the members of two formidable families in C Nation.
It was not an easy fit to sit in the midst of these big shots whose moods were terrible. They truly wanted to escape several times, but how could they be released when they haven't finished answering all their questions?
So, the three of them made an effort to answer all the questions thrown at them as quickly as possible. One of them went as far as to recount what exactly happened that day, and how they were first approached.
After giving them details of everything they knew, the efficient Zimo who had agreements prepared in his system and had printed them out on arrival passed it to the reporters.
"You don't have any choice but to sign those papers, but for your own good, read every word written there." Fu Hua said to them in a strict tone while rubbing Jia Li's back.
The three reporters quickly glanced through the agreement before signing on the papers. There were not many clauses there, as the agreement was very simple to read.
The agreement was about them forgetting everything related to the interview, from the time they were contacted by someone (Carlos) to the time they were brought over to the Fu Mansion.
When they had finished signing the agreement, they were each handed a red envelope?
"That's for your hard work. You know what to say to the people that put you to this?" Fu Lei asked with a fierce gaze, which made the three reporters tremble in fear.
They were not daft, so they nodded their heads in response before they were allowed to leave.
"Zimo put them on the helicopter and pass the instruction that they should be dropped in their homes." Fu Hua said with his face directed at Zimo.
There was no need for Zimo to take them back because there was a lot of work to do now. There were investigations to be made, and scores to be settled.
The reporters thanked and bowed to both families before following Zimo out.
