"You know that the Fu family and the Huang family can easily deal with this matter and bury it?"
"I don't care, but soon, everyone will know that woman's secret. No matter how the Fu family tries to bury the news, her reputation would never be the same."
"What difference does it make?"
"There is a difference when someone is hated, but not all her secrets are out, and a person who is loved, and when all her secrets are exposed her reputation never remains the same."
Alix was referring to and comparing herself with Jia Li.
"Are you saying that being the bad guy is better than being the good guy who later becomes a disappointment to so many people? Carlos asked with a frown.
"That's exactly what I'm saying," Alix confirmed.
She believed that her situation was better. Initially, when she still had a good relationship with Fu Hua, people loved her because she was an icon in the modeling industry. But once she decided to make trouble, trouble equally found her.
Now, she has the experience of what kind of feeling it is to fall from such a level and be hated, so she wants Jia Li to experience the same. She was an old layer now who doesn't care every time she is being trolled as long as people were paying attention to her.
"How are the products? Have they passed the testing period?" Carlos asked. He has been busy with the work he gave to her, so he didn't know what was going on presently at her factory.
"Yes, and now we are going into hundreds of products for the lunching," Alix replied with a profound smile. She was happy that her business was working.
Carlos asked curiously, "When do you plan to start advertising your products?"
"After Qin Jia Li's matter had died down, then we can start advertising and promotion," Alix said with a smirk.
She would like to enjoy the show she orchestrated till another topic took up the top trending in the charts.
If her business wasn't that important to her, she wouldn't mind to keep fuelling the matter.
"You're willing to delay your products launching all for Miss Qin's secrets to trend a little bit?" Carlos asked with an unbelievable facial expression.
"I also put in a lot of effort into it just like starting up my new business," Alix stated.
"Can the effort you put into the unveiling of her secrets be compared to the one you put into starting your business?" Carlos asked.
Alix got annoyed with him and said, "What are you trying to do? Whose side are you on? Carlos, learn to give me advice only when I ask for it."
Carlos raised his arms above his head in surrender and said to her, "Fine, I wouldn't tell you a thing unless you say, Carlos, what should I do at his point?' If you don't say it like that, then I promise I wouldn't say anything."
Alix got alarmed and said to him, "Carlos, this doesn't mean if you see a danger upcoming you shouldn't warn me about it."
She thought he was stopping her from taking revenge on Jia Li, or maybe trying to reduce the effects, so she got angry and told him not to advise her if she didn't ask for it.
Carlos got to his feet and said to her, "I know the difference between advice and a heads-up, have a nice day."
"Are you angry?" Alix asked as she watched him walk away.
"How can I be angry? I work for you." Carlos replied without stopping in his steps.
"Don't forget to check on the journalists and reporters working on that case." Alix reminded him, but there was no response.
Alix was annoyed with Carlos that he showed animosity towards her. She didn't like when people showed anger or annoyance towards her, because she felt she didn't deserve to see or know it.
This is exceptional for the ones she gets from people on the Internet, because it brings one good thing to her, and that is attention.
The next day after Fu Ling arrived at the Fu Villa, the Fu family packed their things and left for Jia Li's hometown.
The Huang family came with them but in their separate jet. Something surprising happened, Old Mr. Huang was present.
How the rest of the Huang family convinced him to come for the anniversary, was what others didn't know about.
It took a lot of effort to convince the man that had vowed never to set his eyes on his daughter for defying his orders and causing a rift between him and a big business partner.
Old Mrs. Huang and her children did put in a lot of effort to placate and convince him, and fortunately, their efforts were not in vain.
The big Mansion in Grandfather Fu's maternal hometown was big enough to house all of them. There were already servants that had gone ahead of them to tidy up the place, and stock it up, so when they arrived, they met clean air, a tidied up home with everything they would need.
Carrying the little bun to the doorstep of the mansion, Fu smiled at her and pinched her cheeks gently.
"Daddy put me down!" Jasmine said as she leaned away from him. The little girl wanted to walk on her own.
"Why? Don't you like daddy's body?" Fu Hua was worried she would run off by herself if he let her go. There were so many people with them, and the servants were currently moving their things inside the house.
Jasmine scrunched up her nose, and Fu Hua looked shocked as he asked, "You don't like daddy's body? Are you not comfortable?"
The cute little girl laughed out loud. She found her father's facial expression funny and she asked, "Daddy, are you scared?"
'Is daddy scared that I don't like his body?'
"Yes, I am scared, daddy is scared. How can my daughter not be comfortable in my embrace?" Fu Hua asked with a serious facial expression.
'If his daughter was not comfortable when he carried her, then on whose body will she be comfortable on?' He wondered.
