While I walked around the city with the group of Masters, showing my face to the army, my avatar inside my core is watching the footage Ashlyn is sending me in real-time and analyzing it.
Ashlyn is amazing; she is invisible as she flies around the fortress of Grimm, looking at enemies that are both visible and invisible.
She wanted to enter inside the Grimm fortress to get an even better look, but I had stopped her from doing that.
Unlike the regular Tyrant powerhouse, Grandmasters are completely different; they have a vast number of abilities and operate very powerful artifacts, some of which might be able to detect Ashlyn.
So, unless there is really a need and I have become very sure she could get away from any Grandmaster, I would not let her any of such risks with her safety.
In just an hour, Ashlyn’s reconnaissance bore a huge fruit. I have got the idea about the Grimm Monsters numbers and got to know the position of scouts, and I am quite surprised seeing the number of Master class scouts they have employed.
The lightning lion legion has thirteen Masters; nine are present in the city while the other four are scouting the area for the movements of the Grimms; Ashlyn had already found them despite them using very powerful stealth abilities.
While Ashlyn is collecting the information on the enemy, I am touring the encampment, showing the men faces of their new commander and talking with some of them, including my mentees, though I did not let my relationship known.
Neena and Ida had already come to Charmel city while Danielle and Leonard would come in a few days.
Both of them are fighting on different battlefields, and I did not feel like I should pull them out of them such abruptly.
If they had been elites or even leaders, I would have been able to do it, but they are Masters. A big part of any army’s forces, such pullout would affect the strength immediately.
It took me three hours to tour the whole encampment before I went back to the control room.
Two Masters have returned from their scouting duties, and I recalled those who are on the field, it confused the masters, and they even suggested it was a bad decision, but I did not change my orders.
With Ashlyn looking at things, there is no need for others to do any scouting mission, not to mention things would get very dangerous for the scouts very soon.
Time passed by, and soon it was dawn, and Ashlyn came back, and on the way, she had also killed five Master scouts, which also gave me the glimpse of Grandmaster, who reacted immediately seeing his masters getting killed one after another.
It was not able to catch even a glimpse of Ashlyn, but I was able to see it through Ashlyn’s eyes, and it had given me quite a surprise and made me even sure of the plan of attacking the Grimms.
It had tried to find our scouts to kill them in retaliation but found none. It was angry, and I wanted to fight against it then and there, but I resister the urge and watched it go with the burning rage.
As Ashlyn returned, Nero flew out of me. He has much less experience of reconnaissance than Ashlyn, but I have to let him out, or he will raise hell inside my core, seeing I have let Ashlyn out, and due to that, he also wants to go out.
I am not worried about his safety, he might be somewhat weaker compared to Ashlyn in strength, but he is full of tricks that I don’t think even the strongest Grandmaster would be able to kill him.
No one noticed Nero coming out of me and flying through the window; he is invisible to their senses as it to the wards.
“Prepare; we will attack the Grimms fortress within three hours,” I said, shocking all the masters present in the command center.
“My lord, I think it is a little hasty. We do not know the reason for Grimm’s silence, and it might be a trap for us,” Edwin cautioned. “If it is a trap, then we will deal with it,” I said with a smile.
Others wanted to object but remained quiet, seeing the look on my face. I could see the look in their eyes; each one was thinking I was making a mistake and it might be a mistake, but I could not just wait and watch.
The council also said I should focus on defending, but if I get the chance, I should not miss the chance as well.
The strategy meeting has begun while the legion begins to assemble. I have to say, these masters quite experience in strategy, each of their advice had merit, and I had a hard time thinking about which is to choose.
I had to use the help of my avatar to think carefully with the two brains before I had decided on the strategy.
Soon, three hours passed, and the small army of ten thousand stood amidst the snow. All the ten thousand emperors are standing on the ground in neat lines with the fighting spirit blazing through their eyes.
In the air are ninety-one Tyrants are standing, sixty elites while thirty-one leaders and leading them all is Ida. The Masters had a different leader class Tyrant in mind, but I chose Ida.
Why would I choose another when there is my own mentee, not to mention she is the strongest leader class Tyrant here with textbook perfect combat style and experience in leading the battle.
She is very powerful could easily beat the leader, the masters have suggested. The battles here would be a great whittling stone for her strength before I could give her permission to make a breakthrough to Master class which she had been holding back on for quite a while.
Ida gave a rousing speed before we moved toward the fortress of Grimms, and unlike before, I made the army of emperors walk instead of flying behind the Tyrants.
Many Masters have cautioned me against it, saying the chances of falling under the traps are very high, and they are right, but Nero had scanned the area before and already diffused and destroyed all the traps.
So, there is no danger.
