The young man gradually raised his head, revealing his handsome face that had turned red as a result of drinking alcohol. His eyes also looked bleary. Seeing this, the women at the side who were too late for him gulped in unison. They hated themselves for not flirting with him much earlier and had missed out on an opportunity with such a handsome man.
Ye Yan cast a glance at the person drunkenly. His eyes had lost their focal length as he looked at the person. He blurted out impatiently, “Get lost!”
The smile on the woman’s face turned stiff. The way she looked at Ye Yan carried a hint of dismay and resentment.
However, very soon she recovered her senses. She looked at the women not far away from her and saw that they were watching him intently like hungry wolves. She was not willing to give up on such a handsome young man that appeared once in a blue moon.
She bit her lips, rose up from the swivel chair and grabbed Ye Yan’s hand. She pressed herself against him and endeared herself to him by calling coquettishly, “Handsome, don’t be so cold to me. I’ll be sad…”
Su He was greeted by this sight the moment she entered the bar.
A woman dressed in revealing clothes was wrapping her arms against his. She had pressed her boobs against Ye Yan’s body tightly and kept kissing his cheeks with her lips painted in bright red lipsticks.
Su He’s face instantly darkened. She spoke to the person on the other end of the line, “I found him. You guys may leave now.” She hung up on the phone immediately after she finished speaking and quickly dashed over in the direction of Ye Yan.
The woman had been rubbing herself against him for a long time. Yet, the person next to her did not respond to her at all. The woman furrowed her eyebrows. She turned her head around, only to find that Ye Yan was already very drunk and kept mumbling nonsensical stuff to himself.
She looked away and decided to take Ye Yan out of the bar. She wanted to look for a nice place to have a fling with him.
Unfortunately, just when she was about to help Ye Yan up and depart from the place, suddenly, a hand stretched out toward her and gripped her wrist.
The woman was shocked. She turned her head around, only to be greeted by the sight of Su He’s cold face. She was stunned for a brief moment before she scoffed at her, “Miss, what are you doing here? Don’t you get it, this is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.”
Su He did not say anything. She slightly exerted force on the grip of that woman’s hand. When the crowd heard a sharp scream, they turned their head and looked in the direction of the voice, they saw the woman who had been clinging on to Ye Yan had fallen and was seated on the floor. She was holding her hand and wailed miserably, “My hand… My hand…”
Upon hearing Su He’s voice, Ye Yan furrowed his eyebrows. He struggled to raise her head and it took him some time before he brought his eyes to focus, “Are you… Ms. Su?”
Looking at Ye Yan in his current state, Su He heaved a sigh. She stretched out her hand to help the staggering young man to get up and allowed him to lean against her. They turned around and were about to leave.
Just then, several men inside the bar who heard the commotion rushed over to them. They gave a glance at the crying woman on the floor and their faces turned black as they said, “Who is causing trouble over here and beat someone up?! My foot! Why didn’t that person even find out whose territory this place is and dare to simply strike people over here? Is that person asking for death?!”
Those men were tall and big in size. The man who had shouted had a scar on his face. He looked very fearful. He was not someone one could simply mess with just a single glance.
The onlookers who had gathered around and watched the show subconsciously took a few steps back. They were afraid they might be swept into this frightening strife.
When Su He heard the scarred man shout at them, she turned around and cast a cursory glance at the men. She smirked, “I was the one who struck her.”
Only then did the men and onlookers realize it was committed by an incredibly adorable girl. For a moment, all of them were struck dumb.
The men following close behind the scarred men were the ones who recovered their senses first. They looked unfriendly as they yelled at Su He, “You…”
Before they finished screaming, the scarred man had already stopped them. The men found that the scarred man’s expression, without knowing when, had already turned as white as a ghost. His forehead was sweating and he looked terrified as he watched the girl who was helping to hold the young man.
After some time, the scarred man, who was in the midst of threatening the duo, withdrew his frightening look. Instead, he glared at his men fiercely.
The men’s expression turned stiff. They did not know when they had offended their boss. They opened their mouths and quietly swallowed their words.
Su He saw the fear in the scarred man’s eyes. She roughly knew that this man had identified her actual identity. Therefore, she did not say anything further. She helped to hold Ye Yan and they walked out calmly.
The scarred man watched Su He left until her silhouette was completely out of his sight. Only then did he heave a sigh of relief. He turned his head around and gave a knock on each of the men’s heads who had shouted at Su He. “What the heck are you guys shouting at?! Do you know who that person is?! If you make her angry, all of us are doomed! Are you guys trying to get me into trouble?!”
The men, whose heads had been knocked by the scarred man, held their heads and groaned in pain. They locked gazes with one another before they looked at their boss innocently.
They really had no idea that girl was actually a big shot!
After Su He helped to carry the Ye Yan out in a staggering manner, she was put in a difficult position. She did not know where she should toss this drunkard to.
She had just returned to her home country not long ago. As such, she simply had no idea where Ye Yan’s home was. If she took him back to her house, it seemed like it was not appropriate for her to do so at that moment.
After she thought it over, Su He decided to drag this man and temporarily placed him in a nearby hotel.
No matter how, Su He was only a girl. It was an absolute struggle for her to carry someone who was so much heavier than she was, someone who had basically drunk himself into a stupor and his mind was in an unconscious state. Ye Yan’s entire body was leaned against her.
It had not been easy for her to finally help to carry Ye Yan to the hotel. She asked for a room under the female staff’s bizarre gaze. After she received the keys, she immediately helped to carry Ye Yan upstairs.
After they entered the room, Su He simply cast Ye Yan onto the large and soft bed inside the room. She rubbed her aching shoulders before she rolled her eyes at Ye Yan who had closed his eyes and was mumbling something in his mouth.
If not for this guy, why did she even have to run out of her house in the middle of the night and grow so angry, as if suffering from a stroke after watching him being so intimate with another lady?!
Even so, after Su He finished glaring at Ye Yan, she turned around and entered the washroom, as if she was destined to do all this. She wrung a towel and came back to wipe Ye Yan’s face.
Su He squatted by the bed. She used the towel and carefully wiped along the side of Ye Yan’s face while observing the familiar yet estranged face.
It had been more than a decade since they first met each other. However, she still vividly remembered each and every word enunciated by this person at that time. She still remembered every expression on his face.
Su He had thought he did the same too.
However, when she bumped into this person again in the coffee shop, she realized everything was not as pleasant as she had imagined. The memory which she had cherished solely belonged to her, and not to this man.
She personally saw Ye Yan court Zhao Youlin and failed. He was in despair after he was rejected by another woman besides her, heartlessly.
At that moment, finally, she could no longer hold herself back and burst out into laughter. However, her smile carried a hint of self-mockery and disappointment that was only known to herself.
