Jia Li stared at Fu Hua with her red eyes as he walked towards her with a frown. On the other hand, Fu Hua was thinking that Jia Li was going to push him away if he tries to touch her, but nothing happened when he gently grabbed her arm and brought her into his embrace to comfort her.
"I'm sorry my words came out wrong." Fu Hua said as he hugged her waist with one hand, and used the other to pat her back while she resumed crying again.
"Why were you so mean to me?." Jia Li asked in a sad tone. She was still unhappy with the manner he tries to convey his words.
"I'm sorry, I was trying to teach you without knowing that I was harsh. I'm so sorry, don't cry okay…" Fu Hua apologized and kisses her hair as he continues to rub her back.
It took a few minutes for Jia Li to calm down. She slowly stopped crying but refused to let go of Fu Hua to his amusement.
"We left Jasmine downstairs, let's go and get her, she was crying when I was leaving." Fu Hua said to her in a low gentle tone after he kisses her hair again.
Jia Li finally looked up at him to ask, "Do you think I should go downstairs with you looking his way? I'm sure my face is a mess right now."
"You just need to wash your face and dry it with a towel, then we are good to go." Fu Hua said as he cupped her face.
Jia Li pouted her lips and said, "It's all your fault for making me cry."
"I know, and I'm sorry. You need to see what you look like right now. Guess who you look like." Fu Hua asked with a smile while still cupping her face.
Jia Li looked a bit confused as she asked, "I don't know, who do I look like right now?."
Fu Hua leaned in close to whisper to her, "You look like that cute little bun that is probably throwing a fit because her parents left her side at the dinner table."
"You are talking about Jasmine!." Jia Li said as she finally chuckled softly.
"Yes, you look a lot like Jasmine now. Let's go to the mirror so you can see the striking resemblance." Fu Hua said as he took her hand and started walking off towards the bathroom.
Jia Li looked excited as she followed him to the bathroom. She looked very happy when he said that she looked a lot like Jasmine because her friends told her that Jasmine looked like Fu Hua.
In the bathroom, Fu Hua was pointing out her features that looked like their daughter's.
"…she has your round eyes, small lips, and that feisty look when you are annoyed." Fu Hua said with a smile while pointing all these out for her.
"You are really making me feel like Jasmine is in me, but why does she love you more than me? I gave birth to her, and she still snuggles into my embrace at night." Jia Li complained.
"I think she is trying to show us both that she loves us equally, but she doesn't know how to do that. When you left, she noticed the tense atmosphere, and then when I joined you, her emotions were triggered, and she started to cry." Fu Hua replied.
"I guess so." Jia Li said with her gaze on the mirror. She was still looking out for the features Fu Hua pointed out that she shared with their little bun.
"Come, I will help you to clean your face." Fu Hua said as he picked up a towel and put it under the tap to make it wet, before using it to clean Jia Li's face.
A few minutes later, Jia Li and Fu Hua returned to their bedroom. Jia Li's face was looking brighter and better now, and they were about to leave for the dining when Fu Hua brought the crying little girl to them.
Jasmine only stopped crying when her mother hugged and confirmed her for a while in her embrace.
Fu Hee only left when she confirmed that Jia Li was feeling better. Even after crying, the little bun refused to leave her mother's embrace. She placed her head on her breasts and laid there obediently.
It was comforting to be in her mother's embrace. Jia Li kept smiling and calling her Baby while asking her not to be sad.
"To make up for my mistakes earlier, I will give you a few tips for the competition. I won't go against the rules for you, but I will do the things that we necessary." Fu Hua revealed.
He was still feeling guilty about how he made his wife cry, so he wanted to make up for it. And by making up for it, Fu Hua gave Jia Li a few secrets.
For example, just like her colleagues, Jia Li was given 4 days to produce the 5 illustration designs for her work and submit them to her supervisor which is Sunny for approval, and only when her illustration has been approved can she start getting the materials for the dressmaking ready.
Now here is Fu Hua's trick. He advised her to try to do whatever tasks were assigned to her within half of the time, or the number of days she was given, and only then would she be able to get the best of the resources already provided.
For example, she was given 4 days to provide her illustrations, but now, she was going to provide them within 2 days and submit them to Sunny for approval, and once Sunny approves the production, the next step was to start sourcing for her materials from the company's factory.
Jia Li got the deal and decided to try it. That night, after FangSu and Fu Meixu, brought dinner to the bedroom for her as a way to apologize, she accepted it, and when she finished eating, she left for the workshop to start working on her illustrations.
Jia Li spent all night going through her illustrations, but old and new, and trying to develop new ideas. Jia Li used the illustration tab Fu YingPei gifted her to draw her illustrations.
Fu Hua had to come around past 1 AM to drag her back to the bedroom to sleep since she had work the next day.
