"This is not the foolish man that took money from us, we got the wrong person!." The man said with fear in his eyes.
If it turned out that they came to the wrong house to beat innocent people up, their life would be over!
"What?!." Others were shocked as well.
Mr. Qin was lying with his back on the floor. His face was bruised, and he was gasping for air.
Just now, they used the weapons in their hands to beat him up. He didn't have any medical knowledge like his wife, so he couldn't protect his vital organs.
One of them used the club to hit the chest area, so he was having internal bleeding.
The loan sharks glanced at the couple they had beaten up and refused to believe they got the wrong person, so one of them went in search of a picture or anything that could prove they were right.
That one walked to the television stand where he saw a picture frame. Blood drained from his face when he saw the main picture.
He picked up the picture frame and passed it to their leader.
The leader was so shocked that the picture frame slipped from his hands and shattered.
The man knew who Mr. Qin's brother-in-law was, as he was there the few times he came to them.
, so he could never be wrong.
"We really did beat up the wrong person, let's go before the police come!.' He announced and flex from the living room.
Just then, the police siren was heard, and the others hurried and tried to make their escape.
Mrs. Qin was lying lifeless on the floor, while Mr. Qin was still struggling to breathe. He couldn't talk, and he couldn't move as he could only watch his wife lying on the floor motionlessly.
When the police arrived in their car, the leader of the gang ran past them and escaped, so they managed to catch three of the culprits.
The familiar Officer Su was one of the officers that came to the scene.
Officer Su and one other officer went into the house to check if there were any casualties, and the scene they saw, shocked them.
"Call the Ambulance now!." Officer Su instructed as he ran to Mr. Qin's side to check on him.
"Mr. Qin, hold on, help is on the way." Officer Su said to Mr. Qin as he didn't dare to touch him.
Mr. Qin's eyes were opened and he was trying to say something, but his voice was inaudible, so Officer Su had to lower his ear close to his mother on other to hear what he was trying to say.
"My…my…my wi…wife…" Mr. Qin managed to say.
"Your wife?." Officer Su asked before moving close to Mrs. Qin to check on her.
He was surprised to see the familiar face. About three months ago, he met her in the hospital because of Grandfather Fu's case.
He knew she was a nurse, and also the mother of Jia Li.
Thinking about that young and innocent, girl, he quickly turned to his colleague and instructed him to check every corner of the house for another person.
The other police officer hurriedly went in to check the rooms in the house, but he found no one.
"There is no one here. Is she breathing?." He asked.
Officer Su had earlier taken Mrs. Qin's pulse, but he couldn't feel any signs of life, so he shook his head in a negative affirmation.
The other police officer sighed and didn't say a word. He could only go to Mr. Qin's side and ask him to hold on.
As for his wife's matter, they decided not to say anything.
Within 7 minutes, the ambulance arrived. Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin were carried into the ambulance.
"We have to hurry, I can't feel her pulse. As for the man, his pulse is getting faint!." One of the Paramedics shouted.
Officer Su instructed the other team of officers that came with the other car to take the culprits to the station and get a statement from them, while he followed the ambulance with the other two officers.
When the ambulance got to the hospital, two doctors and some nurses were already waiting for them, so Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin were wheeled out and rushed to the theater.
Mrs. Qin was declared dead a few minutes after she was pushed into the theater.
The doctors and nurses in the theater could only watch the monitor beep nonstop as there was nothing they could do.
As for Mr. Qin, he slipped into a coma, and his situation was critical because he had internal bleeding.
His heart was affected, so he was in a dire situation.
The doctors and nurses were doing their best to have him because he was almost slipping away from their hands.
Before the surgery started, a nurse came out and handed Mr. Qin's phone to Officer Su.
"What of the patient's family members?." The nurse asked.
"The patients have a daughter Qin Jia Li by name, but we are not able to contact her yet. Maybe she is in school. We will try to reach out to her as soon as possible. What about the patients?." Officer Su asked.
"I heard the woman is a nurse here. Since I'm new, I am not too familiar with her. I don't know her state, but her husband is in critical condition. It would be good if we can reach out to their kin." With that, the nurse walked back into the theater.
The reason she handed the phone to Officer Su, was for contact.
Jia Li who has been shopping with Fu Hee left the store with the things they bought. On her way to the Fu House, she became uneasy again, and Fu Hee noticed it because she wasn't paying attention to what she was saying.
"Jia Li, the old man has promised you that you can go back to your family today. Don't think too much about them, you will see them this evening." Fu Hee said to her in a kind tone.
