“This poisoning is not a big problem. It can be fully cleared after he takes a few more of medicinal pills. It’s just that his heart and meridians have suffered great injuries, so despite it being treatable, this will not be too easy to handle,” surmised Su Yizhen slowly.
“His heart and meridians have suffered great injuries!” exclaimed the other elders who were greatly shocked.
“I have already sealed his heart and meridians so he should stabilize in a short while. Let’s go and see Big Brother first to see what he intends to do,” said Su Yizhen. He then carried Su Yanyu and walked speedily towards the village.
Ling Chuxi had not expected a sudden change in events. She could only catch up to Su Yizhen for now. Jiang Wuhen feared that he would be beaten up if he stayed put so he immediately followed after them as well, careful not to leave their side by an inch.
In a quiet courtyard, a tall young lady with elegant features was concentrating on practicing her sword skills when she heard the doors of the courtyard being pushed open. The young lady turned her head to see Su Yizhen carrying an injured Su Yanyu. She was greatly shocked and hurried to them.
“Second Grandfather, what’s happened to Big Brother Yanyu?” The tall young lady asked urgently and worriedly.
“Xiu’er, has your grandfather exited seclusion?” asked Su Yizhen.
“Not yet, but he should be soon,” answered Su Xiu’er with a frown. One could see from Su Yizhen’s expression that Su Yanyu’s condition was not too optimistic.
“Then we will have to wait first,” said Su Yizhen as he arranged for Su Yanyu to be carried into the house.
“Second Grandfather, have a seat fist. I will go make some tea for you,” said Su Xiu’er as she headed into the house.
“Both these people are disciples of my old friend,” said Su Yizhen as he pointed to Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen by means of introduction.
“Please, have a seat both of you. I am Su Xiu’er.” The young lady spoke generously and without any fake airs.
“Thank you. I am Ling Chuxi.”
“And I am Ling Yichen.” Both Ling Chuxi and Ling Yichen introduced themselves promptly. They had a good impression of Su Xiu’er.
“Jiang Wuhen? How dare you come back here again?!” It was at this moment that Su Xiu’er spied Jiang Wuhen hiding behind the Lings. Her willow-shaped eyebrows rose as she scolded him and put a hand to the hilt of her sword.
“Hehehe. Oh, hi Xiu’er. Turns out you are here too. What a coincidence,” laughed Jiang Wuhen forcefully with a smiling face as he thought of slipping away. But the courage to do so dissipated once he saw the crowd outside.
“Bullsh*t. This is my house. Where else would I be if not here?” snapped Su Xiu’er without bothering to hide her disdainful expression.
“Xiu’er, leave him be for now. Don’t disturb your grandfather’s refinement,” advised Su Yizhen immediately.
“Hmph. I will let you off for the time being,” said Su Xiu’er as she entered the house with a black face.
Jiang Wuhen watched as Su Xiu’er left and looked at that walls surrounding the courtyard which were not considered tall nor low. His calves were trembling.
“Have you done something bad to her?” Ling Chuxi could not help but to ask.
Jiang Wuhen did not answer. His calves just started trembling even more severely.
The courtyard was very quiet. Besides Su Yizhen, Ling Chuxi and a few other people, everyone else was standing outside. They did not even dare to exhale big breaths as they remained still, some bowing and some standing straight.
Nobody knew how much time had passed until the door of the backyard opened. An old man with white beard levitated out slowly. His expression was calm and peaceful, and his clothes were modest and simple. He seemed to have a surge of magical powers emanating from his body. One could not help but be fascinated and subdued by him simultaneously as long as one took just a glance at him.
‘Was this the owner of Rejuvenation Valley?’ As she looked at this old man, even Ling Chuxi felt subdued by his demeanor which seemed to be from beyond this world.
Ling Chuxi felt that if she had the opportunity to meet Ye Qianhe again, she would definitely advise him to learn properly from others. What was an expert? Now this, this was an expert. It was an aura that was practically incomparable to trying so hard by having people play the zither and flute and sprinkle flower buds before you. Oh, right. It would be best for Mo Kongyuan to come and learn as well. He was supposed to be the dignified guardian of a country, yet he was eating free meals everywhere. How was his appearance anything like an expert?
“Big Brother,” greeted Su Yizhen respectfully to welcomed him.
