Ye Qiao was thrown onto Xi Mengsi’s double bed by Lu Beixiao. He stepped forward and his eyes burned with passion. Ye Qiao instinctively took a step back.
“Brother Xiao, I have something important to report to you,” she said. She was nervous as he looked at her intently. It wasn’t the time for being intimate eventhough she did want to make him feel bad for not seeing her the past three days. She looked at him eagerly and swallowed her saliva as her breathing quickened.
His face got closer and closer and his hot breath was felt on her face. Ye Qiao instinctively closed her eyes in preparation to receive his kiss.
A red mark was seen on her soft, tender face and some parts of the skin were about to break.
“She deserves to die!”

The man’s ruthless voice shook Ye Qiao and she opened her eyes. After a moment of confusion, she realized that he was concerned about the marks on her face.
She completely misunderstood his intentions since he was staring at her with such burning, passionate expression.
“Does it hurt?” he asked softly as his rough thumb gently caressed the red mark on her face.
Of course it hurt but she tried to appease him.
“No, no. It doesn’t hurt,” she quickly replied. She did not dare to say that it did because she knew his patience with Pan Ling was thin as it is. It was fortunate that He Shan had shot Pan Ling in the leg. Otherwise, Lu Beixiao would definitely be angry and do something even more impulsive in revenge.
She knew that he must not act recklessly before his mission is completed.
“It really doesn’t hurt at all. Brother Xiao, I really have something important to tell you!” she said. Ye Qiao straightened her posture and took out a piece of crumpled paper and told him, “That damn woman, Pan Ling, took me to her warehouse. There, I found her account book. He used so much force that she could hardly breathe. She knew that he was worried about her.
“Brother Xiao! Don’t treat me like a little girl who needs your protection all the time. I want to protect you too,” she hugged him back and said coquettishly.
“I don’t need your protection. I just want you to protect yourself at all times,” he replied. This little girl actually said that she wanted to protect him.
Then, he pulled her away from his arms, lowered his head and kissed her passionately. After kissing her on the lips, he gave a peck over the whip marks on her cheeks gently as if to comfort her.
“Baby, you have to leave this place! You have to leave!” he said.
Ye Qiao answered obediently, “I’ll listen to you.”
