Lu Beixiao let her scream and shout but Pan Ling’s cries were unheard. Even if He Shan had heard her, he would not believe her.
Lu Beixiao was just waiting for Brother Wessex to enter the country again and capture them all in one go to complete his mission.
“He Shan! He Shan!” Pan Ling shouted continuously.
“Men! Take her to the dungeon!” Lu Beixiao ordered loudly as he decided to release his grip over her neck as she was at the brink of death.
“He is a spy! Did you hear that? He… He is a spy!” Pan Ling shouted with all her strength. However, no one listened to her. At this point, she just seemed like a crazy woman.
All this while, Pan Ling did not really suspect Lu Beixiao to be a spy. She only framed him because she could not get him to love her.
Who would have thought that he was really a spy!

Pan Ling was locked away in the dungeon. She held the steel bar with both hands and kept banging her head against the iron door. “He’s a spy. Tell He Shan! He really is a spy! How dare you disobey me!”

“Ah Mu, out of everyone here, you are the one I trust the most,” He Shan said with a sigh.

He put on his sunglasses, picked up his suitcase and went downstairs with He Shan. Soon, they arrived at the docks.
Brother Wessex was as cunning as before. He changed the location of the transaction three times and kept toying with them. Finally, the location for the transaction to take place was set in a primeval forest.
“Brother Wessex, have all our goods arrived?” He Shan asked loudly.
Brother Wessex signaled his subordinate and the subordinate opened a box. “Here’s the goods. Where are the gold bricks?”
Lu Beixiao also opened the suitcase upon hearing his reply to He Shan. When he opened it, it shone with a golden light.
He carried the gold bricks and walked towards brother Wessex. When he reached their side, he placed the suitcase on the ground and brother Wessex’s men immediately inspected it. As they were inspecting the gold, Lu Beixiao poked one of the bags open and had a taste to check if the goods were legit.
He nodded his head at He Shan.
After brother Wessex received the gold bricks and was about to leave, gunshots were heard being fired.
When brother Wessex turned around, he saw He Shan’s men firing at him.
“He Shan, you…”
Before he could finish his words, he was shot and he fell to the ground. Brother Wessex’s men, who were hiding in the forest, tried to counterattack and fired back. However, they were quickly brought down by Lu Beixiao and were all killed.
“Mu! Well done!” He Shan said smugly and gave Lu Beixiao a thumbs up.
In the end, He Shan kept the gold bricks and the product as planned.
He Shan was so smug about the situation being in his favour.
When He Shan returned to the villa, few elders had gathered there. Apparently, they have received news of He Shan’s plan to leave the trade and enjoy life but no one had a clue on who leaked this news.
“He Shan, you want to stop? Have you even consulted us?” Master Biao said as he slammed the table.
“You old farts. How did you know about this?!”
As He Shan spoke, he gave Lu Beixiao a look and Lu Beixiao signaled his men and the elders were surrounded.
