After that, Michael made his way back towards the mansion, and just after a minute that he had left, came a group of people in a black hazmat suits that appeared at the scene of the battle.
Where this people quickly cleaned up the dead body of the hitman, and then the traces of battle, and quickly left the scene. Any traces of the battle before were thoroughly cleaned and that even the smallest blood splatter on the tree bark were cleaned. Everything literally returned to what it originally looked.
It was like the fight between Michael and the hitman didn’t even happen at all.
And these group of people in hazmat suits are the clean up crew of the organization behind Michael and the others.
Just as their name says, they clean up the scenes of battle, where they would fix everything to normal. They would even replace the broken things as fast as possible no matter how small they are, but that doesn’t mean that their services are free though because the people who hires them would still need to pay them.
Earlier, at the same time as the housewarming party was on the roll.
In the presidential suite inside a five star hotel in Central City.
“You’re telling me that the hitman…died?” Jin’s voice trembled when he heard the news that the person from the other side of the phone told him.
“Yes, so if you want to employ our services again, then you would need to pay more money on top of what you had offered before. It’s so that someone who is clearly more skilled than the previous hitman would take it, and the reason being is that the person you want to kill clearly has someone skilled enough by his side or rather…there might even be an off chance that the person called Michael Grey was the one who had killed the hitman that was sent by us”
“How much?” Jin’s voice trembled in anger, as he felt a bubbling rage welling up inside him knowing that the guy who humiliated him is still alive and well.
“Five million dollars” the person from the other side of the phone coldly said.
“Wha…what? That’s five times the amount that I gave you guys!” Jin’s angrily yelled at the phone, as he felt like this group of people are trying to swindle him.
“Raised you voice towards me again, and you will regret it. I hate people yelling at me”
“This…I’m sorry. Can you let me think about this more?” Jin said, realizing that he had just f*cked up by yelling towards this bloodthirsty person.
“You have twenty four hours”
Bang! Crash!
“Ahhh! Bastard!”
Jin threw his phone on the floor and started cursing angrily.
“F*ck! I won’t have that much money left if I give them five million dollars!”
“Sh*t! Sh*t! F*ck!”
“Michael! I want you to die!”
*****
In the middle of the night, after Michael had drove Jenny and Amanda home.
He drove up on the driveway and arrived at the mansion that was covered in darkness and only had a single lamp post on both the front and backyard.
Michael entered the house, and what greeted him inside is a place almost covered in total darkness if it wasn’t for lamp post from outside also radiating a bit of their light inside the house.
And inside, with Michael’s good eye, he quickly noticed the seven figures all sitting at the living room from where he’s standing from.
“So, did you take care of that hitman who’s been tailing you for the past few days?” Miya’s voice echoed.
“I already did” Michael did as he walked towards them and sat at the remaining vacant chair.
“But..it seems someone saw me,” Michael said.
“Who?” Robin asked, his voice wasn’t in the slightest bit concerned.
“Amanda… I think she saw me exchanging blows with that person from the balcony, but I’m not sure if it was her though. I only noticed that she was looking at me weirdly when I came back” Michael replied.
“Ughh…if it was her, then she would certainly suspicious and wondering who the hell you are by now” Tony groaned, realizing that Amanda would certainly have questions or doubts about her by now or in the lighter case, Amanda might even warn her about Michael which would certainly be hilarious.
“But the question is, how do you want to deal with that Jin brat?” Viper asked, while others such as Circle and Monk are now busy playing on their phones, as they just listened to the side.
Michael suddenly grinned widely, “I will make him suffer so much that he would wish that he was dead”
Hearing him, the others also grinned coldly, because not showing any mercy towards your enemies is what makes you a true assassin. An assassins’ heart shouldn’t have an ounce of mercy towards your enemies, because your enemies would certainly bite you back if you spare them or even show them a little bit of vulnerability.
“Anyway, let’s put my matters aside for a bit, and talk about you. I didn’t expect that you would actually find another woman during this past few days” Michael chuckled as he turned his head towards Viper.
His question even made the others around them laughed a bit.
“*cough* cough*” Viper immediately started coughing as he knew that Michael is looking at him even when they’re almost surrounded by total darkness.
Viper opened his mouth and said, “I tell you the past is a bucket of ashes, so live not in your yesterdays, no just for tomorrow, but in the here and now. Keep moving and forget the post mortems; and remember, no one can get the jump on the future”
“Since when did you become a poet, you bastard”
“Just now”
“Shameless a**hole”
“You’re just jealous because you don’t have a woman yet” Viper sneered.
Michael was suddenly triggered as he stood up and yelled, “I’ll beat the sh*t out of you, you bastard”
“I could say the same to you! I’m tired of seeing your face already!” Viper also yelled back, while the others slowly stood up from their chairs as they knew that this was their cue to leave now.
Bam!
“F*ck you, you chicken sh*t bastard! I always hated you since day one!” Micheal shouted as he slammed his palm on the table in front of him.
“F*ck you too, you gay sh*tty a** monkey!” Viper yelled as he suddenly pounced towards Michael.
“Eat shit!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Make sure you guys replace the things you broke, and clean up the mess when the two of you are done!” Tony’s voice came from upstairs.
“This two always fight every time they trade insults, immature” Miya sneered as she walked towards her room, while the others just shook their heads as they ignored what was happening below them.
Thud~ Bang!
“Bastard, using chairs is cheating!”
“Then deal with it!”
“Gahh!”
Five minutes later.
“This is all you fault!” Michael cursed as he started sweeping the floor of all the mess they had made.
“You’re just jealous because I got myself a girlfriend, while the woman you like doesn’t like you back!” Viper also cursed at him, while he texted the people he knew from a furniture company. It was so that they could replace the furniture they destroyed.
“Go to sleep already!” the angry voice of Robin echoed from the master bedroom downstairs.
Both men just glared at each other and didn’t say anything as they quickly went back to cleaning up their mess.
’I should really start pursuing Amanda more aggressively from now on!’
“I won’t lose to you next time, you bastard”
“Kekeke”
Viper just laughed with ridicule, which really annoyed Michael to the bones.
The next day, Michael went back to his parents’ place.
“So how was the housewarming party dear?” Alice said as she slid a coffee towards Michael.
“It was tiring” Michael said with his chin resting on the table, and he quickly sat up straight, took the coffee and started drinking it while thinking of something.
“I see, I heard that from Tony that you fancy a woman named Amanda” Alice chuckled as she took a sip of her tea.
Michael almost choked on his coffee when he heard her, he smiled stiffly and said, “Ahaha, yes mom”
“Then make sure to get her fast. I want to see my daughter in law soon, then maybe my grandchildren” Alice smiled, as her eyes flashed with mischievousness.
Michael quickly stood up and said, “Alright, no worries. I’ll do that”
Michael said those words while slowly walking sideways towards his room before immediately dashing away.
And Alice just laughed at Michael’s silliness sometimes, and her eyes suddenly flashed like she was thinking about something.
