Li Tongzhi chimed in when she heard this. “Yeah! How can you be a designer when you just graduated? Do you have what it takes?”
Mu Siyin smiled and said, “Save those sarcastic remarks for yourself. We’ll find out if I have what it takes after I get hired.”
Seeing how confident Mu Siyin was, Li Tongzhi scoffed, “Hmm. You’re ambitious and full of energy, eh? Don’t be a good for nothing at the company after you get hired!”
“Aren’t you the laziest one among the Mu family?”
Mu Siyin’s counter-attacks were like slaps on Li Tongzhi’s face.
After all, Li Tongzhi was the biggest slacker in the family. Other than going for facials, she only knew how to shop and play Mahjong with her friends.
As Li Tongzhi’s face stiffened, Mu Siyin chuckled. “It’s up to you on how to live your life. Anything you do is fine as long as you remain loyal to my father.”
Upon saying so, everybody’s faces darkened instantly, including Li Tongzhi. However, Mu Heyuan’s face was especially intimidating.
Li Tongzhi was so angry that the blood drained from her face. “Mu Siyin! Don’t put me to your level!”
“Are you guilty of it, Auntie Li?” Mu Siyin sneered.
She had no idea if Li Tongzhi had a gigolo out there, but she knew that this would certainly happen in the future.
Old Madam Mu raised her voice sternly before the two had an opportunity to start an argument. “Enough! Don’t joke around about this, Yinyin. What would the world think of us if the rumors spread?”
Mu Heyuan butted in, “I’ve already agreed to all your conditions. When will you sign the agreement?”
Mu Siyin knew that there was a limit to everything. If she pushed her luck, her father might end up changing his mind, and she might lose everything.
Once she signed the agreement, Mu Heyuan asked, “So when will the Lu family invest their money?”
With the agreement in her hand, Mu Siyin stood up from the sofa and smiled. “Oh yeah! I forgot to inform you that the Lu family’s not investing in Mu Corporation. It’s another company my cousin found instead.”
Everyone almost exploded with anger.
“What did you say?” Old Madam Mu roared and glared at Mu Siyin.
“Why are you so worked up, Grandma? Isn’t money what Mu Corporation needs now? It doesn’t matter who finances us as long as they save us from this crisis!”
“You… You’ve gone too far, Mu Siyin! How dare you toy with us?” Li Tongzhi rose from the sofa in a fit of rage.
Mu Siyin frowned. “Can you please use your brains? Lu family or not, isn’t it the same as long as there’s money?”
“How can it be the same? The Lu family is practically the God of Wealth in the capital. Are you going to bring in some shady company to fool us?
“So these are your real intentions. You’re just after our shares! I’m going to bring this matter to court!”
Li Tongzhi was so infuriated that she wanted to slap Mu Siyin!
Mu Siyin scoffed. “What made you think that a small company can finance such a huge company like Mu Corporation, Auntie Li? Are your brains filled with shit?”
Although she was talking to Li Tongzhi, her words were directed at the other three too. It was as if she had killed four birds with one stone.
“Y-you’re just…” Li Tongzhi was at a loss for words as she pointed at Mu Syin angrily.
Old Madam Mu’s face was cold when she said, “Whatever. I don’t think it’s an issue as long as those investors can save us from our financial crisis. However, don’t blame me for turning my back against you if we find out that you’ve been toying with us!”
Mu Siyin leered. “Let’s say I managed to turn Mu Corporations’s financial crisis around and you went back on your word, don’t blame me when I cut ties with all of you and bring this issue to court.”
