Chapter 988: I Will Support You Forever
Yan Su was shocked.
She finally understood why he said those strange words to her last time. Was he already fond of her back then? He hid his feelings so deep, or maybe she was too slow-minded.
“Sometimes, two people who are a perfect match for each other, don’t have to like each other or be together.” Yan Su spent quite an effort to find her voice.
Mo Liuxi shook his head and said, “I think the first thing two people need to have, is the flutter for each other. Am I right?”
Yan Su paused briefly, then nodded. She agreed.
“Don’t you have a flutter for me?” Mo Liuxi stared at her without blinking. He didn’t want to miss any expression that might escape her eyes. “Let me explain to you what flutter means. It means you become nervous, and your heart races. Do you feel that?”
“I…” Yan Su didn’t know what to say.
“You do,” Mo Liuxi said. “Just now you were so nervous that you even stuttered. You blushed too. People say your face will redden and your heart will race when you get nervous. That’s like a whole package. So, I’m sure that your heart is beating fast as well. Ask yourself if you would be so nervous if it was another boy who’s telling you that he likes you?”
Yan Su was going mad. Normally, Mo Liuxi was so proud, cold and silent, but now, he acted as an expert in psychology.
“That’s because I’m surprised,” she explained. “I wasn’t expecting you to say that to me so suddenly…”
“When a boy who’s three years younger than you, tells you that he likes you, as a mature woman, shouldn’t you react calmly? But you panicked like a little girl.” Mo Liuxi pinched her cheeks gently, then sat straight and moved away from her.
Yan Su instantly found that her breath became smoother. She felt a little annoyed. After all, he pinched her cheeks, and that was so humiliating to her.
He was somehow right.
As a friend of his elder sister, she should have refused him calmly and reasonably. Why on earth did she panic?
She gave it a thought and concluded that it was because she had sex with him.
So, Mo Liuxi was somehow special in her heart.
“Whatever you say.” Yan Su lowered her head, dropped her eyes and said, “I really don’t want to start a relationship right now. I just ended the last one. I can tell you that I am not over it yet.”
“The so-called ex-boyfriend of yours is from the entertainment circle, right?” Mo Liuxi asked.
“What did Sangsang say to you?” Yan Su gave a start.
“I am right.” Mo Liuxi smiled. “She didn’t tell me anything. I figured it out. That day, when we talked about being with someone from the entertainment circle, you were a little emotional, not like your usual self at all.”
Yan Su’s back started sweating.
He was so keen-eyed.
She told herself that she must be extra careful from now on, to prevent him from finding out what happened that night.
“Let me guess. Your ex-boyfriend must have built a successful career in the entertainment business, so he abandoned you, right? Or, he’s with another woman…”
“All right, stop.” Yan Su’s face turned pale. It had been so long, but opening that old wound still hurt her so much.
Mo Liuxi squatted before her, put a hand on her cheeks, then continued with a deep voice, “I won’t do that. No matter how famous I will become, I won’t betray you. If you want to sing, I’ll help you, and if you wanna retire, I’ll support you forever.”
Yan Su’s heart missed a beat.
She raised her head and looked at his glamorous pretty face; her eyes were a little unfocused.
