As he drew closer and closer to the foot of the mountain, Su Bai found that the monsters here were getting stronger and stronger. On the way, he frequently encountered high-level servants and even saw some warlords from afar.
Shoo!
A green silkworm-like caterpillar suddenly exposed its head among the treetops and spat a silk thread, tying it to another tree. It then swung over via the silk thread to eat the juicy green leaves of that tree.
“Huh? It’s not attacking us?” Su Bai looked at the caterpillar in shock. It was obviously a blood monster, but it did not seem like the others, which would rush up to fight non-blood pets without hesitation.
It had its consciousness.
Su Bai stared at the caterpillar, and its data soon appeared in front of him:
[Name|Race]: Little Bloodworm monster
[Gender]: Female
[Level]: Low-level Servant
[Attribute]: Insect bloodline
[Features|Passive]: Dragon Breath (Passive. When the Little Bloodworm kills a stronger opponent of a different race, it will obtain a ray of Dragon Breath. When it collects 10,000 Dragon Breaths, it will jump through the dragon gate and become a true dragon. It can be transformed into an ancestor dragon.)
Power of Blood, Blood Curse (see Chapter 61 for details.)
[Skills]: Silk Thread
[Restrained]: Dragon, wood attributes
[Weakness]: Undead
[Evolution direction]: None
[Introduction]: This is an ordinary young caterpillar. It loves drinking the fresh morning flower dew and eating the freshest leaves. It has a happy and motivated heart. Its biggest wish is to eat all kinds of delicious leaves all around the globe.
It accidentally killed a blood ant and was cursed by its bloodline. When it changed into a blood pet, it accidentally mutated and developed an extremely rare and special characteristic: Dragon Breath. It occasionally possesses the ability to transform into a dragon but is unaware of this. Therefore, nobody else knows.
Under normal circumstances, it can live for one month and five days, but with Dragon Breath, it’s lifespan has been prolonged.

“This is a fine steed?” Su Bai looked at the Little Bloodworm atop the tree happily eating tender leaves. It did not even know that it was a fine steed?
If he did not have his golden finger, no one in this world would discover that there was such a special small worm with this kind of mutation.
The hardest part was not to cultivate a fine steed but rather to discover one.
“Chirp chirp!”
Just when Su Bai was still feeling stunned, a White-bellied Sparrow saw this cute little bug in the sky and swooped down.
“Buddy, protect that little bug!” he hurriedly shouted, shocked.
“Howl!”
Purple Jade hurriedly flew over with a vine whip to grab the little bug and drag it over.
The Little Bloodworm was stunned at the sight of the sparrow pecking at its previous spot while it was being dragged. It had almost died just like that?
The White-bellied Sparrow glared at the cub hatefully and flew away slowly. It would remember this lass who stole its food.
“Howl?”
The cub handed the Little Bloodworm to him while looking at it with a puzzled expression.
“How are you, little guy?”
Su Bai greeted the caterpillar but did not dare to touch it. Even low-level servant worms could cause a lot of injuries to him.
Sha…
The Little Bloodworm, which could not understand him at all and was extremely afraid of his two pets, with one even standing so close to it, fell softly on the vine whip and assumed that it would be eaten. Hence, out of shock, it fainted.
Su Bai: “…”
“Throw some Hypnotic Powder, then put it in this. We’ll continue exploring.” He took out a transparent box with small holes from his backpack.
The cub threw the weakened bug inside and sprinkled some powder into the flowers of the vine whips.
Su Bai put the little bug into the backpack and then moved forward again.
This little worm was magical and unique, so he wanted to train it. What if he could really cultivate a dragon?
It was just that it was not easy to contract a blood pet, so he could only rely on conventional methods to become friends with it. One month’s time was a bit too tight for him.
However, this discovery made him deeply realize his identity. He was a super big scout.
There were plenty of strange monsters in this world, and there should be many fine steeds which had suddenly mutated like the Little Bloodworm among them. However, because it was difficult for them to be discovered, they eventually disappeared in obscurity. The golden finger he possessed could discover these monsters just by looking at them, and this undoubtedly improved the efficiency of finding such creatures.
He decided to look at monsters’ information whenever he was free from here on. Maybe he could meet some special pets, and even if he did not contract them himself, he could give them to relatives and his lover to raise.
The Little Tyrant was pretty good at finding minerals and located some good ones along the way. Purple Jade has a keen sense for spiritual plants, so it also found some good ones here and there.
Su Bai was intent on finding a Bloodthirsty Spear Bush, since every location of it would more or less have surprises.
Unfortunately, it was very difficult to find such a monster.
After two hours, Su Bai finally arrived at the foot of the mountain.
He was about to take a break when two blood-colored balls suddenly struck them from a distance. Looking stricken, the cub instantly conjured its Vine Shield to resist these blood-colored balls
The blood-colored energy balls fell on the shield, and a corrosive force more terrifying than sulfuric acid corroded it instantly.
“Roar~”
The Little Tyrant roared. It condensed three fireballs in its mouth and smashed the balls with its two claws. A huge fireball with a ten-meter diameter exploded, and a half-meter-long rabbit rushed out in a sorry state. Its fur had been burned, so it was now hairless; it looked extremely angry.
This rabbit was magically long and had four ears and three eyes. Its body exuded a powerful atmosphere of the warlord rank. Its blood-red eyes stared murderously at Su Bai’s two pets.
It then opened its sharp mouth and launched another batch of blood-colored balls. The cub quickly activated its Thorns Domain and used Vine Shield to resist the attacks.
“Little Tyrant, take the initiative and rush in to fight it in melee. Buddy, assist it in the fight and control the opponent!”
Su Bai instructed. He must fight quickly at this place near to the forest. Otherwise, the spiritual energy fluctuations would attract more blood monsters and they would surely die.
“Little Tyrant, don’t hold back. If you want to kill it, you must make the last shot.”
“Roar!”
The Little Tyrant rushed directly and determinedly sent a blow using Crush Claw. The four-eared blood rabbit also clawed at it, and the two were soon entangled as they fought for control.
“Purple Jade, Falling Leaves and Hypnotic Powder!” he quickly said.
In the next moment, all the leaves in a radius of more than ten meters all withered. Hypnotic Powder then filled the area where the Little Tyrant and the four-eared blood rabbit were fighting.
The Little Tyrant ignited a layer of flame to isolate the Hypnotic Powder, but the four-eared blood rabbit failed to do the same. Although Su Bai’s pet got the shorter end of the stick in the fight, it was extremely violent and had a berserker nature. It sank its strong teeth into the four-eared blood rabbit as soon as an opportunity came and tore off a large chunk of flesh. It used Crush Claw and continued taking turns with multiple tail blows.
In this real life-and-death fight, the Little Tyrant burst forth with unprecedented potential, awakening the fighting instinct engraved in its very bones to become full of bloodthirsty determination.
It was like a newly born tiger as it chased and fought with its prey. Gradually, it mastered the ability to fight as a predator.
While the little fellow became more and more adept following the awakening of its fighting skills, Purple Jade expanded its domain to help its sibling recover. Under their cooperation, the scale of victory tilted in their favor.
With a tearing sound, the Little Tyrant bit off the four-eared blood rabbit’s neck and pierced through its chest with its sharp claws to pull out a blood-red heart.
The blood rabbit let out a painful roar, then turned into a ball of blood which entered the Little Tyrant’s body.
Blood poured in generously, and the Little Tyrant’s eyes turned red. Its body exuded a violent berserker aura as the Blood Curse forcibly turned it into a blood pet. The power of the blood continued stimulating its potential.
“Roar!”
A Lava Purgatory spread around with the Little Tyrant at the center, turning the ground boiling red as terrifying flames floated in the sky. It then burst into flames and soon died.
A cloud of blood squirmed in the place where it burst and finally disappeared into thin air.
However, in the next moment, a special dark power condensed. First, a dark spark appeared, then the Little Tyrant’s broken body gradually pieced together. It came back to life, but its aura fell again to a mid-level servant.
“Roar!”
The Little Tyrant roared. It consumed all the flames in the surroundings and ran up to Su Bai with its fierce little eyes looking at him.
“Let’s get out of here. I’ll let you eat everything in the backpack.”
He caressed its head and said anxiously. It was no longer safe to be here. Looking up, he could already see vultures and eagles circling in the sky.
Su Bai ran at full speed with the pets in tow and soon escaped from the mountain.
He took out two bottles of potions and some medicinal cakes from his backpack to give to the Little Tyrant. He also did not forget to bring out some food for the cub.
“Roar!”
The Little Tyrant ate a medicinal cake in one gulp and then suddenly looked stunned.
(*⊙~⊙)
Su Bai could not help but facepalm. “I told you to eat slowly, but you refused to listen. Open your mouth!”
“Ah…”
The Little Tyrant opened its big mouth to reveal a medicine cake half stuck in its throat. He reluctantly poured the potion into its mouth to lubricate its throat.
“Roar…”
The Little Tyrant swallowed the medicine cake in one gulp and then hugged its owner’s thigh. Its affection toward Su Bai +1.
“Howl!”
The cub howled and looked up at him.
(*⊙~⊙)
With wide eyes, the cub indicated that it had also choked and needed some potion to lubricate its throat.
Su Bai: “…”
Did it think he was blind?
The Little Tyrant: “…”
Sister Purple Jade, you should be better at acting. Learn from me!
The cub did not care. I am choking, so quickly pour some potion into my throat, Ah Bai.
“Open your mouth!” Su Bai looked at it helplessly.
“Ah…”
The cub opened its small mouth, but there was no medicine cake left in its pink throat.
“Roar!”
When he poured a bit of potion into its mouth and moved to take it away, the cub bit the mouth of the bottle and sucked wildly until two-thirds of the potion were gone instantly.
It seemed afraid that he would get angry, so it licked his hand and rubbed at him affectionately.
“I didn’t bring any extra medicine. The rest is your ration today,” he said.
Purple Jade: (⋟_⋞)
“Okay, let’s get ready to go back. The harvest this time isn’t small, so let’s come here again.”
After his pets finished eating, he told them that.
Still nibbling on an ore, the Little Tyrant followed its owner while its elder sister walked ahead as if on a catwalk.
“Look, there’s a Cactus monster in front. It hasn’t discovered us yet, so let’s quietly pounce from behind…”
Su Bai pointed to a prickly cactus and said. It was a plant monster, and usually, there would be groundwater and some precious ores in the place where it grew.
Following his words, the cub slowly approached with its vine whips at the ready and then directly pulled the monster’s roots out.
The Little Tyrant hurried over to search for ores. Su Bai cut off the cactus’s roots and water filled with fragrance flowed out.
“Wow, it’s really delicious.” Su Bai drank his fill and poured the rest into a kettle.
The poor Cactus was just a little monster which had yet to evolve, so it could only cry loudly without any ability to resist.
The Little Tyrant found good water concentration in the place where the plant grew. It took this and handed it to Su Bai.
“Howl?”
The cub shook the Cactus monster and motioned to him for instructions.
“Let it go. Maybe we can borrow some water to drink from it next time,” said the youth. After all, he was not a devil and would not kill such a cute little monster.
“Hing…”
The frightened cactus ran away without another word the moment it was released.
“Let’s speed up.”
The path he was walking now was different from when he first came. He mainly wanted to see if he could find some other treasures, especially the larger Bloodthirsty Spear Bush.
After an hour, he returned to the spatial door. The harvest of this trip was not too bad. He had found two spiritual plants at the warlord level, a ground Spirit Melon, a white Salvia, and more ores that the Little Tyrant had finished eating.
“Let’s go out.”
He stepped out of the spatial door with his pets in tow.
On the street outside the Blood Moon Bar, others only saw him stepping out.
Looking around, he was about to leave when he saw a familiar face on the windowsill of the second floor opposite. When the person saw him come out, her face lit up in joy. She then turned her head and pretended to be looking at the scenery while drinking coffee.
This person was naturally Chen Ruoxue. Suddenly, he was a bit at a loss. Had she been waiting here since he entered?
“Ruoxue, are you waiting for me here?” He walked up to his girlfriend with a smile.
“No, I was thirsty and just came over to drink coffee. Are you hungry? I’ll take you out to dinner.”
She looked at him generously as she smiled gently.
He sighed in relief. He thought that his girlfriend would lose her temper, but she turned out to be so gentle. He had really thought too much, and her gentle behavior made him feel quite guilty.
He should not have left her just a message and rushed into the wilderness by himself.
“Let’s go together.”
Su Bai smiled. They still had half an hour before the start of the afternoon matches. This was enough time.
“What do you want to eat?” Chen Rouxue pulled his hand.
