“A bunch of clowns!”
Looking at the million-strong army of Merpeople, Ling Jiu hissed and deployed Void Devouring.
Baroom!
The phantom of the Void Behemoth appeared above Ling Jiu’s head again. It stood in the air, its vicious shadow spanning across the sky.
The next moment, the phantom of the Void Behemoth opened its mouth and gobbled up a few hundred thousand of Merpeople’s army at once.
If this situation continued, the only fate awaiting this million-strong Merpeople’s army was to be swallowed into the floating island.
The Merqueen apparently would not allow this to happen. A stern look flashed in her beautiful eyes as she uttered something in her mouth.
A blue beam shot out from her fingertip and spread out instantly to envelop a radius of dozens of miles of sea area, including all the Merpeople’s army.
It looked as if a blue spider web was engulfing the sea area and the Merpeople’s army.
The thing that happened next came as a shock to Ling Jiu. The phantom of the Void Behemoth was frozen in place.
“What is going on?” Ling Jiu’s heart skipped a beat.
“It is the Law of Water.” Leoux’s voice came. “The Merqueen is using the Law of Water to freeze this sea area and your Void Devouring.”
“The law of Water?” Ling Jiu’s eyes flickered. “Not bad for a galactic being. I can’t believe that she has mastered the Law of Water. I have underestimated her.”
“I am just as surprised,” Leoux said. “A life form growing on a small moon in the solar system can actually comprehend the laws of the universe is incredible. If she figured out the Law of Water on her own, then she must have a terrific talent for the Law of Water.”
Ling Jiu nodded. This was one shortcoming of primitive civilizations. They had limited understanding of the universe, laws, and everything.
Just like the ancient arcanists, who were also stellar beings. Even a major deity like the one-armed elder never knew the laws, despite he was on his way to become a galactic being.
This was all because of the lack of and limitation of cognition.
The stellar beings on Earth were trying their best to study the laws and still could not crack the code, although everyone knew the laws of the universe.
This was a cognitive advantage.
Was these Merpeople a primitive civilization?
Judging from their weapons and clothing, most of them were a primitive civilization. and since they were a primitive civilization, and they would not know much about the universe—that was for sure.
But their queen understood the Law of Water. The question was, how did the Merqueen comprehend the Law of Water?
Did someone teach her?
Did she figure it out on her own?
There was not a surprise if it was the former.
If it were the latter, then as Leoux said, the Merqueen must have an incredible talent in the Law of Water.
“This Merqueen looks more and more interesting to me.”
Leoux said. “Can you take her down, Ling Jiu? If not, I will do it myself.”
“I will try.” Ling Jiu was curious, too. He waved away the phantom of the Void Behemoth, motioned everyone to step back, and performed a Blink Arcana to a spot not far from the Merqueen.
“Show me what you have got, Merqueen.”
The corners of Ling Jiu’s mouth curled up. “I am curious what makes you think you can over run Mars and threaten Earth.”
“Humph, you are overestimating yourself!”
The Merqueen did not take Ling Jiu seriously. She raised her right hand and performed a palm strike at Ling Jiu.
An aqua dragon lunged out with a snarl all of a sudden. Its body’s diameter was so big that it took five or six people to hug it.
“Darn it!”
The surface of this aqua dragon was covered with weird blue lines, just like the curse mark on Sasuke, and also like blue tadpoles. That was strange.
Ling Jiu’s face turned grave as he could sense how substantial and heavy this aqua dragon was.
He could be seriously injured or even die if this aqua dragon hit him.
“She uses a law attack on her first strike!” Leoux spontaneously exclaimed. “This is how galactic beings should fight. Beat the hell out of her, Ling Jiu!”
Ling Jiu rolled his eyes. Looking at the approaching aqua dragon, he slowly raised his right hand and then struck across the void.
A black dimensional fissure appeared as he slit open the void.
The next moment, a silverish dragon covered with silverish patterns lunged out from the dimensional fissure to greet the aqua dragon.
The two sides clashed. There was no terrifying burst of power or shock wave.
The moment the two dragons collided, the aqua dragon and the silver dragon canceled out each other and vanished, as if they had never appeared before.
“Huh?”
The Merqueen squinted with a surprised look in her eyes.
“Impressive dimensional shift, Ling Jiu.” Leoux was impressed. “The Merqueen has performed the Law of Water to its most robust strength. So that aqua dragon is heavier, more solid, and more substantial than ordinary aqua dragons. I did not expect that your Dimensional Shift could move it away. Not half bad at all.”
“Come on! I was letting ten of my duplicates study the Law of Dimensions. If doing that couldn’t even comprehend the Law of Dimensions, I might as well kill myself.”
Ling Jiu grunted, his tone calm without the slightest hint of smugness.
He was telling the truth.
During the years on Whitehole-2, he was forming the Gene Arcana core, evolving the elixir field’s stellar system while his duplicates were studying the Law of Dimensions.
His ten duplicates were studying the Law of Dimensions to the letter, just as students study the textbooks.
Even if you are stupid like a pig and have no talent, you should have graduated from elementary school by now.
“I like how modest you are.” Leoux smiled. “Keep it up.”
“I will.” Ling Jiu let out a faint smile and continued to look at the Merqueen. “That’s all you have got, Merqueen? Keep it coming. I can’t wait.”
“I underestimated you.”
The Merqueen took a long, hard look at Ling Jiu, and then grabbed at Ling Jiu with the flip of her palm.
The next moment, Ling Jiu felt the surrounding seawater turn into a swamp, and a powerful force from the seawater restrained him in place.
“Kill!”
As the Merqueen glared with her beautiful eyes, an aqua dragon full of blue tadpole-like patterns appeared again. It was then followed by a second one and then a third one, and they kept coming.
Nine aqua water dragons appeared around her and then roared intimidatingly as they charged forward.
“The same old trick!” Ling Jiu shook his shoulders and found that he was completely restrained in place. He could not even move a finger. The restraint force was too powerful. “But it doesn’t work on me.”
Ling Jiu vanished into thin air.
“What?”
The Merqueen was taken aback, her eyes darting around, searching for Ling Jiu.
Just then, a loud water splashing sound came from above. The Merqueen looked up at once and was shocked to see a giant foot coming down at her.
Adaaa!
