The Chaos was considered to be the forbidden land to experts below the Quasi-Sage Realm.
The mere air current of the Chaos would’ve been too much for a Great Overarching Golden Immortal to bear. Of course, bearing it for a short duration would still be alright.
However, a slight breeze of the wind of Chaos would roll up into a wild torrent that could tear through a Great Overarching Golden Immortal in a heartbeat.
Even those that had reached the Quasi-Sage Realm would find it dangerous to be here. Just look at the number of Quasi-Sages that were buried in the Chaos. The number was countless.
An endless chaotic storm had been setting off at the edge of Honggu Great Chiliocosm. As they were deflected by the world’s fetal membrane, the recoil formed a variety of storm vortexes.
This kind of vortex was the most dangerous of all. Once trapped within, it would be too difficult to break free from it.
In a land not too far away, there was a great chiliocosm that was rolling its way over. The fact that such a huge chiliocosm that contained such enormous power within was being propelled forward through the Chaos was simply unbelievable.
Wherever the chiliocosm passed, everything in its path was crushed. On its opposite side, there were actually Saints who were evoking thirty-six treasured beads, forming a vast curtain of water that propelled the chiliocosm forward.
Instead of the seven Saint Lords that Jiang Ming saw the other day, there were two dozen of them behind the curtain of water. They were all evoking their techniques, driving the treasured beads to push the entire chiliocosm forward.
Right this very moment, two of the Saint Lords suddenly walked out and turned into a stream of light. It tore through the Chaotic air current and swiftly moved forward.
They were a red-robed old man and a white-robed youth.
“I’m so exhausted!” The red-robed old man complained telepathically. “If it weren’t for these Saint Lords rushing over to give us a hand, all seven of us would’ve been exhausted to death.”
“Yeah! Who knew that pushing a chiliocosm would expend such a terrifying amount of power? Mr Hong, even I’m almost dead of exhaustion, much less yourself. It was still alright at first, but the pushing became heavier and slower as time went on. This is especially when we encounter Chaos vortexes, infinite storms, forbidden fire domains, extreme cold ice fogs and so on. It almost trapped all of us.”
“You said it! I almost wanted to escape into the depth of Chaos, going against that person’s will. It’s fortunate that the thirty-six treasured beads, coupled with those seventeen Saint Lords descended at the critical moments. Do you think they are from the Sea of Chaos? Or are they from the other suppressed great chiliocosms?”
“It’s hard to say! They kept their mouths shut about their origin as soon as they arrived. However, seeing the serious look on their faces, I’m afraid they are not from the norm. Let’s not talk about them already. Our future wouldn’t be better ourselves. To push our own chiliocosm and find other chiliocosm to be fused with. It just feels like this is just pulling on our legs however you look at it. I just hope that our lives won’t be pulled into the mess at the end.”
“His remarks were great. The colliosion between chiliocosm would perpetuate the fate of our near-ending chiliocosm and also strengthen its origin, allowing us to break through the shackles of the Saint Realms. Even if we can’t, it will also bring us towards the Sea of Chaos. Mr Bai, do you believe his words?”
“What does it even matter if we believed him or not. We are all fish meat on the chopping boards. Can we even retaliate? We might still have a chance to leave back then, but look at it now. Putting aside the seventeen Saint Lords, just the thirty-six treasured beads are already all supreme Saint Weapons. They are even a whole set of them that connects one another to form a single entity. The power that it emits is far beyond the limits a Saint. There’s surely the imprint of that person within the Saint weapon that’s constantly watching over us the whole time. The fact that dozens of leaders, who are helping us towards our destination, in all probability the order from that person himself.”
“Alas, it’s not just a probability, but a certainty! Mr. Bai, what do you think is his purpose in doing this? He’s an existence that transcends the Saints, yet he’s asked us to do such a thing. Could it be that once two chiliocosms collide, it will produce some supreme item of great creation?”
“Who knows? Let’s just wait and see. If it endangers our lives, we’ll just escape into the Chaos.”
“True! Escape far away into the Chaos! Thinking of leaving us to die? I’ll bite off a chunk of his flesh before going down!”
The two chatted as they continued walking onwards.
Suddenly, both of them stop abruptly.
The person that appeared in front of them was none other than Jiang Ming who had just arrived.
Just moments ago, Jiang Ming discovered that there were two Saint Lords among those that were pushing the chiliocosm over, rushing towards the direction of his chiliocosm. As such, he immediately rushed over through the Chaos.
Although he had complete confidence to manage the incoming chiliocosm, he still came over to stop them in order to prevent the battlefield from being drawn to his own chiliocosm.
As for the increase in numbers of the Saint Lords, he wasn’t bothered at all. They were akin mere ants however many they were.
Saints were mere ants to him.
“Why did you come here, fellow Daoist?” The red-robed old man’s expression changed slightly as he gave a slight smile, cupping his hand to express a closeness between them.
“Greetings, fellow Daoist!” the white-robed youth gave his greetings as well.
Jiang Ming cupped his hands in response and smiled, “You should be able to guess the reason I’m here. The fact that you are all pushing a near-death Chiliocosm over to my domain, what’s your real intention for this? Who is that person behind you all and what’s his identity?”
The red-robed old man’s eyes narrowed as a fine luminance streak through his eyes. He still continued to smile and said, “Fellow Daoist. I didn’t expect that you’d know of it already.”
“I’ve known about it decades ago and I never bothered with you all.” Jiang Ming replied. “Tell me the name of that person behind you that gave this order and I’ll let you keep your lives.”
He had already evoked the Human Path Record to check the two of them out.
Based on the ‘Status’ of both of them, there was no record of the name of that expert behind them. It had only mentioned that there was a supreme youth who had descended their chiliocosm in the past. He portrayed terrifying strength that was beyond the Saint Realm.
If they were to listen to his command, he would bring them towards the Chaos Primordial Land and also bestow them the great opportunity to break free from the shackles of the Saint Realm.
Under the suppression of both grace and power, they had no choice but to agree. Coupled with the fact that their chiliocosm was near its end, they could only forcibly agree to it. In fact, they were actually very unlucky.
They had gone into the Chaos in search of the Chaos Primordial Land before. At the first time, they mistakenly entered a spatial mists and was entrapped in it for a whole 280 millions of years. It almost brought them to their death.
For the second time around, they were well prepared and set out again. They were trapped in the Tides of Ages and spent 13.6 billion years trapped within. Even their Heart of Dao almost collapsed from this.
Upon their return, it was hard but they managed to recuperate and stabilize their Heart of Saint Dao.
Seeing that their chiliocosm was inching towards its end, they were about to set out into the Chaos again for the third time in search of the future path of Dao, but were threatened by the youth who descended.
This wasn’t the usual bad luck. They were jinxed.
Jiang Ming couldn’t help but shake his head as he went through their ‘Status”.
“Fellow Daoist, since you know about that existence behind us, don’t bother resisting.” The red-robed old man sighed and continued, “If you can’t resist, might as well enjoy it.”
“You’re thinking of just lying flat!” Jiang Ming was somewhat speechless.
“Lying flat? This phrase is quite subtle. Yes, I’m just lying flat.” The red-robed old man smiled and continued, “If I can’t resist, what else can I do? Fight to my death? Bulls! Better to just do as I’m told. A day alive is a day spent.”
“Haha! That’s a good use of the word ‘Spent’. Jiang Ming couldn’t help but laugh, “You really don’t know his name?”
“He didn’t tell me!” the red-robbed old man said helplessly, “Fellow Daoist, what are your plans now? To fight us to the death? Don’t, don’t, don’t…You might want to fight to the death, but we don’t want to ourselves. Moreover, you wouldn’t stand a chance. Even if you are able to kill the two of us, there are still more than twenty of them behind us; even if you are able to kill all of them, there’s also a stronger existence behind us. How are you going to fight against this? Why don’t we all just let nature take its course?”
Jiang Ming was rendered speechless. He was itching for a fight but was slightly ashamed to do so.
